Chapter 11: Hawaii

I awoke to the sound of Chris, how great. He made an announcement stating that we was going to Hawaii. For the first time in forever, I was actually excited to here his news. I grabbed my suitcase and ran out of the door to see if anyone else was awake. A few people were walking out and I saw a bus. It didn't look safe but then again, when does it? I stepped inside and sat at the back, hoping Trent wouldn't notice me. I failed miserably because he took a seat beside me.

"So, I was wondering if we was a thing. I know labels is what broke us up last time but I need to know this." Actually, what broke us up is your anger issues.

"Um- yeah, sure, we are a thing." He smiled and looked out the window. I saw Courtney hugging Duncan and she walked onto the bus. He was two seats away from me and he turned to face me and smiled. I waved and he turned back around. These two seats felt like an ocean. I did miss us being friends but then again, I have messed up so many times with relationships. Courtney looked for the first time in a long time, genuinely happy. If I wanted to get her off this island, I would need to break up their "romance". Duncan clearly stated he didn't like me in that way and I would have to try a different tactic. I sat there for a moment brain storming ideas until Trent kissed my lips.

"Whoa! What do you think your doing?" I tried to push him off but he latched onto me. In order to sell my role as his girlfriend, I had to kiss him back.

"Okay, thats enough for now. I have to focus on things."

"Like what?"

"Game plans."

"Sounds interesting". I rolled my eyes and looked down at my diary. I flipped through a few pages and saw multiple drawings of Duncan. Trent peeked at my book and sighed when realizing who it was.

"Gwen, do you still like him?"

"No! I only drew those because it was his, um, birthday."

"Oh, okay."

     We sat there in silence for a few minutes until the bus started moving. I looked around to see where we was going and by the looks of it, we was heading to an airport. I looked up and saw Courtney sleeping on Duncan. He was carving in the seats and looked bored.

"Do you mind if I move 1 seat up. I am crowded." Trent nodded and I sat beside Duncan.

"Hey." He looked up and smiled.

"Hey."

"I'm guessing things worked out with Courtney."

"Yeah, everything's okay now. Also, Courtney really likes you."

"Oh, well that's good." I glanced at his drawing and saw it resembled me in a lot of ways.

"Who are you carving?"

"Courtney, why?"

"Are you sure? Because it looks a lot like me."

"Whatever". He smiled and turned back around. I knew it had to be me because the drawing had streaks and a petite nose. It also had a skull beside it and I owned a skull necklace. I thought for a second and wondered if I was trying to find a reason it was me. I shook off the thought and we soon reached our destination. We evacuated the bus and got seated in the plane. It was a proper one this time and was flown by an actual expert. I sat down beside Lashawna and decided it was time to confess to someone. If I bottles up my emotions anymore I would surely explode.

"Hey, I need to tell you something." She looked worried and nodded.

"I like Duncan and I'm trying to make him jealous by dating Trent. It's not working and now I'm stuck with Trent. I don't want to date him but I also don't want to break his heart, what do I do?"

"Girl, you are in a predicament. Maybe you can make someone flirt with him and you break up with him over that. Now it looks like he's the bad guy."

"I would feel kinda bad but, I guess it's a plan. Who should it be?"

"How about Lindsey? She's dumb, just tell her you will give her a rare Chapstick."

"Okay!" I tapped on Lindsay and told her my proposal. She agreed and made her way to the back of the plane. She soon started laughing and playfully tapping Trent's arm. I laughed and turned back around to be faced with Duncan again. He made me so happy and then again, he could completely shatter me. What was I going to do? I loved him and he didn't love me. This had to be the worst feeling ever. We reached Hawaii and it was beautiful. The sky and culture was amazing. I went into a hotel and It just so happened I got stuck in a room with Courtney and Duncan. Something tells me Chris purposely sabotaged me. I laid down on the bed and tried to relax before anyone else came in here. This was going to be a ruff week. It could be worse though, I could be stuck with Trent. That reminded me, I needed to break up with him. If I was correct, Lindsey should be hooking up with him right about now. I knocked on his door and heard rattling and a girl laugh. He opened the door and looked shocked that I was in the door way. I knew it was Lindsay and barged in to break up with Trent. To my surprise, Lindsey wasn't sitting on the bed, it was Courtney.
