Gwen:

You might think that after you confess your feelings for someone that you instantly connect, but so far; it has not happened. I decided to visit Noah because we left off on an awkward note.

I knocked on his door softly, but no answer. Curiosity got the better of me and I opened it to scope out my friend. Holy shit.

"Cody?" Cody was shirtless and laying on Noah's bed, but no Noah.

"G-Gwen? Hey, what are you doing here?" He seemed nervous and I was just as surprised as him.

"Nothing, I just came to talk to Noah about something. What are you doing here?"

"I was just- um...." His cheeks flushed red and he was interrupted by the door opening.

"I'm back Co-" He stopped midway as he saw me in the room.

"So.... Anything you would like to tell me?" Is it bad that I'm actually glad I don't have to break it off with Noah? Probably...

"Gwen, you have to promise not to tell anyone. I'm sorry, I needed it to seem as if I liked you so people wouldn't think I was suspicious." I nodded my head as if I understood what he was saying, but in actuality, I was very confused.

"Well I'm going to just leave you two..." I left the room as fast as I could, and made my way down to Duncan's hide out. Usually he went there in the middle of the day to escape the island and drama.

I arrived at a small pond with benches surrounding the area. A familiar guy was leaning on the bench, carving into the sides.

"Hey, you haven't talked to me in a while." He glanced up and then sighed.

"Look- I like you; a lot, but I don't know if you like me. You and Trent have been off and on, and then I found you with Noah last time...." He did have a good point, I was not very grounded. I thought me and Trent would start over, but clearly he already has someone else. Then for Noah, he's gay.

"I'm over them, I swear. It's just, after my dad left; I just couldn't trust anyone for awhile." He stared at me with sadness showing through his expression.

"Don't worry, I'm okay now. My brother isn't..." I sat down beside him and laid my head on his shoulder.

"No matter what, we stick together." I felt his hand creep into mine slowly and intertwine. For the first time in a while, it felt permanent and not temporary.
