Can you not see the unconcious girl in front of you?

Chapter Eight

Caiden's POV

Saying I was pissed off, well that would be an understatement. No... I was livid... all I could see was red.

I hated how close Mia and that bastard rouge were walking, I hated how she blushed when she got caught sneaking glances towards him, I hated the direction of her beautiful smile was sent. But most of all I hated the fact that she wasn't like that with me.

I wasn't happy at all about the fact that she wouldn't leave without the rouge pack it was almost as if they didn't put her life in danger! Well I guess they did save her somewhat but some warning would've been nice!!!

I was on the edge of my nerves when we reached the clearing which we had battled on and the Alpha rouges comment just pushed me over the edge.

"This is exactly why we're going to train and teach you everything." The rouge had whispered obviously not quiet enough and also had his head to close for my comfort near Mia's face.

I halted and turned facing the pair, "What?"

I didn't yell this but that's what made it all so worse. My pack knew that when I was close to killing everything in sight I went deathly calm. Even now they shot me worried looks. But the only person who should be worried was the rouges Alpha, because right now, as I look at him I can only see red.

The Alpha cleared his throat and dared to meet my gaze, "You heard me. I said that we were going to train Mia to be who she was meant to be."

All I felt was white hot rage as I stared at the arrogant prick, "What so you kidnap Mia and rock up asking for permission to enter our land and when its granted you think your all high and mighty?"

I didn't care about the fact that Mia was there and could possibly see me In my worst form if I continued to be pushed as much as I was being pushed now. I didn't care about the fact that he had his whole pack behind him and we only had four or five. I just couldn't stand him and I couldn't care less about the consequences.

I could feel a set of eyes burning into the back of my head but I brushed it off as Kade, I knew he would be pissed but again, I don't care.

"Ah, Guys-" In the back of my mind i could register a panicky voice but my concentration was solely on the rouge.

"No, I just know Mia and what she has to be ready for better than what you all do." My fists clenched and my jaw tightened.

"You Guys really need to lo-"

"I changed her so I think I know more about her than what you do!" I argued seriously pissed off.

"Look its a-"

"Not nessacaraly-" The rouge tried to defend himself but was interupted by a loud yet strange ripping sound and a roar.

I briefly frowned wondering what caused the sound and when I looked in the direction from which it came my jaw fell open. I saw Mia leaping in the air above me. I winced - as did everyone else - at the sound of breaking bones and a scream which turned into a howl. I can remember the pain I felt as I had my first change, It was not pleasant at all and I was surprised to see Mia land so steadily.

But that's not what shocked me, what shocked me was that before she landed she met a vampire, in the air, head on and snapped his neck with a simple tightening of her jaw. The sound was loud, very loud. As she landed she dropped the body at her feet and finally noticed the shocked people in front of her and froze herself.

But it wasn't long before the effects of the first change caught up to her. Her legs started to shake and her eyes started to close together until she finally collapsed. I had reached out for her and said her name but it was too late her weak form was already on the floor. I ran to her not realising the rouge had followed until he spoke.

"She needs to be covered." He said gruffly.

"I know." I answered back ticked off already taking of my shirt for her.

"No, let me. I've got a bigger shirt." He said quickly ripping off his shirt and covering her.

I growled quietly and then again louder as he made a move to pick her up. "No, I'll do it."

"Why? I'm just as capable." he argued stepping in front of me.

I growled loudly at him showing my teeth but that only made him react the same and we continued to glare at each other. Well at least until a girl broke through he crowd that had gathered glaring at both of us. She was skinny and tall with dark black hair.

"Seriously? Can you not see the unconscious girl in front of you? Are the levels of testosterone that high? She just finished her first change and your arguing over male pride?"

We both frowned and looked down at Mia who was on the floor unconscious and went to pick her up which only resulted in us growling all over again. The girl let out a exasperated sigh and moved in front of us and turned away from us but not without glaring at us.

"You. Here. Now." she said directing her orders to Kade making mostly everyone except her pack surprised as hell. No one talks to an alpha that way. Made raised his eyebrows at her and crossed his arms.

She rolled her eyes "yes I know your the alpha, hence why I just asked for you as you can control your pack therefore shutting up this doofus and also my pack because we need access to your land. Right Daniel?"

I heard soft growling from beside me before I heard the rouge give a curt reply, "Yes."

The girl nodded her head approvingly and switched her gaze towards me. When I continued to stare at her with out reacting she raised her eyebrow and asked "And you? Are you going to listen to your alpha?"

"Of course." I said narrowing my eyes at her.

"Good. In that case, Alpha Kade I think it would be best for you to transport Mia to the car and organize some overnight facility's."

He smiled nodding towards her as a sign of respect and walked towards us but paused as he stood in front of us and looked at us almost daring us to say something. I had to clench my jaw and turn away to stop myself from even considering shifting to keep him from touching Mia.

Taking deep breaths to calm me down I waited for Kade to pass before I turned and looked in there direction. Falling into step with the alpha rouge who was obviously struggling as much as I was we quietly followed without making a sound.

Kade walked to the edge of the clearing with us following until we broke through the bushes and found a dirt trail for cars. A car was waiting for us - although I have no idea who and when someone called for it - and Kade gently placed Mia in the backseat and Kade and I rushed to the side doors to get in.

She was lying so her head was near the door the rouge went through although I was alright as she was holding my hand - pretty tightly might I add - and didn't once let go. The rouge had her head in his lap and I had her legs in mine but I got to hold her so again, I was happy.

Looking down at her soft face surrounded by golden hair I thou about all the had but me through in the last 48 hours, getting kidnapped, fighting vamps, getting her back from 'dangerous' rouges, having a rouge pack on our land and ending up unconscious from protecting me.Yep she definetely made quite a havoc but, I realised I'd do it all again for her.

It makes me wonder though. What exactly do we have planned for us.

But right now I couldn't care less. Everything has seemed to have settled and I am holding a girl I have no idea what I feel for and yet it makes everything better.

She makes everything better.
