Caiden's POV

For the past week I have been happier than I have ever in my life, i literally have a bounce in my step well at least that's what everyone else says. I don't know why I'm this happy.... oh god, who am i kidding? I know why I'm like this it has to do with a certain blonde girl and as much as i didn't want to i had to finish my shift.I didn't like being away from Mia but i couldn't be with her every single second. Maybe i could ask Kade if i could be put on shift with her once she changes.

I stumbled when i heard Kade's voice in my head, "Caiden you need to come back now."

"But what about my shift?" I didnt really care about my shift but as beta i had my obligations and plus i didnt want to be put on another shift for make up time.

"I will get someone else to finish your shift now come back NOW." Kade responded using his alpha tone. He ended the conversation knowing that i would do as he asked.

I suddenly got a really bad feeling as i ran back to the packs housing Kade hardly ever calls anyone out of shift duty unless it's an emergency and even then he would wait until after. "Where do you want me to go?" I asked Kade though the mind link.

"Head to the housing block 2 on the third level." I ran faster after realising that Mia was on that level. I changed and then continued to run to where Kade told me in human form. I reached the block and didnt bother with the elevator i just ran up the stairs. I power walked down the hall my nerves getting worse after each step.

I felt my heart drop to my knees and even i heard my intake of breath when i saw the emergency tape surronding Mia's door and Kade pacing back and forth around it. Kade heard my gasp and looked up at me. I knew that look only too well. My eyes widened and i ran past the emergency tape and had to stop another gasp from leaving my lips.

There were a group of 'specialists' assesing the scene taking pictures and looking around for clues. From what i could see they had already found some clues. As I walked around the room i could see that someone had been in here. Mia's Ipod that Kade bought her was on the bed still playing and the door to her closet was wide open as was he window.

But when i looked at the ground i saw a syringe that was a quartar full of clear liquid. I had to close my eyes to control my rising anger. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to come face to face with Kade.

He saw me glance down at the syringe and explained, "I have already sent out a sample of the liquid and its come back as Ether. I suspect that they put the drug straight into her system so it will knock her out quickly but they didn't use much so they were either in a rush or they want her awake in a specific time."

My fists clenched and my breaths came out harder, "Who do you think took her?"

He sighed, "A couple of rouges scents were found in the area but we can't be sure."

I swallowed the lump in my throat and sat on the bed smelling her scent. I took a deep breath and was about to say something but then i looked up at Kade and saw him in a conversation through the mind link. His eyes widened and then he closed his eyes.

It continued for a little longer until he turned to me, "Prepare the wolfs, vamps are on there way."

Mia's POV (Ten minutes before Caiden saw the room)

The first thing I noticed when I awoke was the tingles, I thought at first that I was back at the pack and Caiden was here but then my sense of smell and hearing came back. I smelt the leaves and animals and also the smell of fire and wood burning, and i also heard the roars of laughter outside and the rustling of the wind.
