It was cold. It was really, really freaking cold, and all I wanted to do was wrap myself in a blanket and fall asleep. But I couldn't focus on anything, the only thing in my mind was the nightmare I had just had. I couldn't do anything but cry and hug my Teddy Bear in fear that my dream would one day come true. After about 10 minutes, my door opened and my dad peeked his head through a crack in the door.
"Is everything alright, (N/N)?" he asked, the concern in his voice so thick I broke down my usual tough (or as tough as a 9 year old could get) facade and shook my head.
"I had a terrible nightmare," I said, tears still rolling down my cheeks. Dad walked over to my bed and sat next to me, holding me tight.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head no. "Do you just want me to stay until you fall asleep?" I nodded. He let me go and sat on the foot of my bed as I laid back down. I closed my eyes, and he stayed true to his word, staying with me until I fell asleep.
~Scene Change~
"Tag! You're it, (N/N)!" I laughed as I chased my older brother, Jason, around our big yard. I was about 3, he was 8. He took a sharp turn and took off running, me following close behind. I was about to touch him, but I tripped on a tree root, rolling a little before coming to a stop. I felt a pain in my knee, and began to cry. Jason came running over to me, concern in his eyes.
"(Y/N)? Are you alright?" He knelt down in front of me, examining my knee. "You've got a scrape. Come on, I'll get mum to fix you up inside." Jason picked me up and carried me inside to my mum, holding my hand and staying by my side until my cut was cleaned. Then he took me to the living room and watched television with me, trying to cheer me up. Jason was honestly the best brother ever.
~Scene Change Again~
I smiled as my mum, dad, and brother sang Happy Birthday to me. I was finally 10, finally a double digit. It was so exciting!
"I want to give her my present first, mum, alright?" My brother tried to get my mum to let him give me the first present, but she just wouldn't have it. She picked up a big box and handed it to me, along with a card.
The card read, "Happy 10th, (Y/N), hope you enjoy this special day! From, your loving parents." It had a 50 Pound note in it, too, so that was nice. I moved my attention to the box, carefully taking the paper off. I opened the box and found a note that said, "Go to the backyard." I looked at my parents with a curious expression on my face, but walked out to the backyard. As soon as I opened the door, a tiny black, brown and white puppy ran up to me, jumping on my legs and playfully biting my ankles. I laughed, bending down to meet the little guy.
"Mum, dad, it's so adorable! It's mine?" My mum, dad, and Jason came up behind me.
"Yes. You can name her whatever you would like," my dad said, smiling at the sight of me playing with my new puppy. I picked up the little dog and hugged her.
"I think I'll name her.... Roxy. Because she's a Bernese Mountain Dog, and Roxy sounds like rocks which are parts of mountains." My parents looked at me funny, but I just laughed and pet Roxy's head. "It makes sense." I picked up Roxy carefully and carried her back to the living room, where I was opening presents. I sat down on the couch and put Roxy on my lap. My dad came back in and handed me a small wrapped box.
"Here, I got you a little something. There's two things in there." I nodded and opened it up. The first thing I picked out was a light blue collar, for Roxy, I assumed. I smiled and put it around her neck. It already had our address on it. I put my hand in the box and pulled out the second thing. A notebook.

Lioness (Draco Malfoy X Reader)
FanfictionThis is kind of the first thing I've ever written and shown to the world ever, so it's a bit iffy (in my opinion). Many have said that it's fine the way it is, but I will be editing after I post the entire story. This is simply another Draco Malfoy...
