My hair was done in a fancy updo, I was wearing these silver heels Crystal grew out of, silver earrings, a dark green pendant necklace, and my charm bracelet, of course. The charm bracelet looked a little off with the dress, but I wasn't going to take it off. Not now, not ever.

I went downstairs to wait in the ballroom to meet Blaise. Brad had let me decorate this year, so it looked really nice in my opinion. The decorations were black and silver, and they were set up in a way that made the ballroom have this elegant vibe. It was really amazing.

I kind of hovered around the punch as I waited for Blaise to arrive. The ball had already started, people talking and dancing and having a good time. I felt really out of place; I recognized almost every student or former Hogwarts student that was in school when I was, and every single one of them was Pureblooded and had been somewhat rude to me, if they even talked to me.

I got bored of waiting out at the punch bowl for Blaise, so I walked around to find Crystal and Draco. They may be mean, but at least I know them. Eventually I found them talking by the entrance.

"Hey, guys. Blaise hasn't arrived yet, so I thought I'd wait it out with you." Crystal looked at me and sighed in annoyance. Draco looked at me, then back at Crystal. I couldn't blame him, though. I looked better than normal, with my (H/C) hair framing my face, pulled back into a slightly-fancy bun and light makeup on. But Crystal, she looked absolutely amazing.

She was wearing a pale blue dress that reached the ground. The skirt of the dress was plain; it basically fell. But the bodice was interesting. It was plain underneath; a one shouldered top that connected with the skirt simply. On the top, though, it was a whitish-blue lace top. The top had one sleeve, and was a wonderful addition to the dress. It was such a simple design, but it looked so amazing.

Her hair cascaded down her back in simple waves, parts of it pulled up and held there with a silver clip. She wore white heels and plain silver earrings, but she made all the simpleness look so elegant. To top it off, she had a light pink lipgloss on and light blue eyeshadow. She looked truly amazing. I looked plain compared to her.

"If you're going to be here, at least be quiet so we don't know you're here," Crystal said to me, her voice dripping with annoyance. I nodded my head slightly, but focussed my attention onto Draco. The owl that I had received from him was still fresh in my memory. Truth is, it really made me feel nice. I put it in my favorite book for safe keeping, since I know the only person who ever opened it up besides me was Jason.

I sighed, a little too loud for Crystal's liking. She gave me a look, and I shrugged. Draco looked from her to me again, then back to her.

"I could use a drink," he said to her, and she smiled.

"A glass of punch coming up!" She ran off, and Draco looked at me

"Slytherin colors suit you, Lioness." I smiled slightly.

"Well thanks." We stood in awkward silence until Crystal came back with two glasses of punch......and Blaise.

"Look who I found. He just arrived, fashionably late." I gave him a small smile, muttering, "Hey, Blaise." He looked me over then took my hand, pulling me away from them.

"You almost look nice enough for a dance," he said as he pulled me away from Crystal and Draco. "But I really don't want to be seen with you, Mudblood, so we're going outside."

"It's freezing outside. I'm wearing a sleeveless dress."

"Get over it." He pulled me out of the ballroom and down the hall, guiding me outside. I pulled my hand from his because it felt like he was leading me when I didn't want or need to be lead.
