It was my first time coming to beach city. Being that I never had a mother obviously, I still needed to learn a few things to do with homeworld, and gem related subjects.

I never really had any friends. With growing up in the kindergarten and what not, I was mistreated and neglected from affection, friendship, etc.

But after so much that has happened. After all of the war and fighting. Yellow diamond has decided to put young gems into Homeworlds gems highschool. I thought it was a great idea, but I was still so...unsure of it all. You see... I never knew what my gem was. No one does. Not me, yellow diamond, or the gems I grew up with beside me. My gem was a dark red to black gem. No one has ever seen a gem like me before. I'm guessing I'm very rare. Or just a mistake. I'd be a complete outcast. A loser even.

But my mentors always told me to "keep my head high" or "it'll get better". But it never does.

It's currently 7 a.m. All of these nightmares of the taunting. All of these visions of unhappiness and darkness and death. I await for my melancholy fortune. It's a new day. No stone goes unturned.

I need to go to school. My eyes barely crack open as those annoying birds outside keep chirping.

I really don't want to go. Yellow diamond is making me though.

"(Y/N)?! You better be up!" Yellow diamond called out.

"Yeah yeah! Don't get your gem in a twist!" I yelled back. I live under Yellow Diamonds houshold. Under Yellow Diamonds rules. I need to follow them or else she'll throw me out. I don't want that. Especially with an unknown gem like myself. I wouldn't survive a day being a nobody. Even though I already do it and have done it ever since I was created.

"Well I never! You better be down here in five minutes or else!" Yellow diamond was sophisticated, uptight, and organized. All things that I'm not.

I threw on a pair of ripped jeans, my (favorite band) shirt, a black plaid flannel shirt over that and a pair of black army boots. I grabbed my book bag and hovered downstairs. Yellow diamond looked at me in disgust.

"That attire is NOT appropriate for your first day of your new school." She filed her nails and scoffed.

"Does it look like I really care?" I said in a monotone voice.

She eyed me up and down and raised from her seat. "Apparently not." She walked over to the kitchen counter and poured herself a cup of black coffee.

I looked over to her with daggers and rolled my (e/c) orbs.

"Can I have a cup?" I asked.

"(Y/N) you're only 17,000 years old. That's a little young don't you think?"

"So what?" I grabbed the cup she had already and swallowed it back like a shot. "Not strong enough."

"Tch...you're better off eating pure coffee beans if it's not strong enough." She poured another cup and took small sips.

"Whatever. I'm leaving now. If I'm dead by the time the day ends, don't let Peridot go in my room." I waved Yellow Diamond off and opened the front door. Peridot was somewhat of a room mate. She had platinum blonde triangular hair. She was green, which is why I call her booger. She also wears glasses, Polo shirts and bowties. Another reason why I call her Peridork.

"I heard that you clod!" She called out from her room. "And for your information, I wouldn't even dare set foot in that pigsty!" Her voice was little, and nasaly. She sounded alot like a computer.
