Chapter 9: Like Nothing Happened

I had no words to say. Seeing Peridot there after what went down between us, make me a bit frightened. But I kept my cool.

She stood there with her arms crossed. She was wearing a pair of black ripped shorts and an alien hoodie sweatshirt saying "far out" on the front.

"What do you want Peri-snot?" I said as I gritted my teeth. I beamed my eyes at her as she only slightly chuckled and adjusted her glasses, walking past me with a nudge.

"Why, coming to see my companion of course. Why else would I be here?" She circled her way over to Pearls couch, grazing her green digit on Pearls coffee table to inspect the dust.

"So you didn't come here to harass me some more? You're not gonna hit me again?" I mocked while flailing my arms around.

"Oh very funny you oblivious clod. You know why I got that way. You invaded what was MINE and you know how I get when people touch my belongings." She snarled a bit, but then eased up, brushing her platinum blonde hair behind her ear.

"Aren't you gonna apologize though Peri?" I got closer to her and put my hands on my hips.

"For what?! Being territorial for my mate?" She made her green floating fingers into a screen, casually scrolling through pictures on instagram.

"Well first of all you got the wrong idea you booger. She only did that so I didn't look like a complete and utter fool in front of the whole school. But you did that for me, so thank you." I said as I squeezed my head and walked away from her.

"You're welcome." She said proudly.

"Hey who's at the-" it was Jasper. She stared at Peridot with pure fury in her eyes. Peridot however was still looking at her screen, unaware of who was there.

"You..." Jasper harshly stomped her way toward Peridot and Peridot noticed. She glanced up away Jasper in confusion who was almost near her.

"Me?" She pointed to herself and then before she could even say anything else, Peridots face was just inches away from Jasper. Jaspers huge and hulking hands were on the fabric of Peridots hood as she was pulled up to meet Jaspers face. Peridot was a good 2 feet off of the ground.

She yelped from the force and stared at Jasper. "What are you doing, you clod?!" She tried breaking free from Jaspers grasp but none prevailed. She kicked her metal legs onto Jaspers leg and stomach but that didn't even make her flinch.

"You're the one who hit (Y/N). You're Peridot right...?" Jasper clenched tighter onto Peridots sweater, practically making it tear from the tension.

"Y-yes! But it was only because I was trying to protect my mate!" She grabbed onto Jaspers hands attempting to pry them from her clothing.

"Jasper please!" I called out. "Don't risk your rep over some dork remember!"

Then everybody else came out to see.

Pearl had her hand up to her mouth in shock as Garnet gasped as well. Amethyst stood in horror as her lover was being manhandled by this she-beast.

"Jasper what are you doing to her?!" Amethyst yelled out.

"Giving her what she deserves!" She looked back to Peridot and raised a fist far from her own body, absorbing all the force and energy she could in one punch.
