Your POV
Just as I was about to put my lips against the ceramic mug, a loud crash was heard from far away.
I abruptly got up from my seat, setting down the hot mug.
"The fuck was that?" I said while walking toward the window. I daintily lifted the shades up to see what seemed to be flames? And one of the telephone poles about 100 feet away was lopsided.
I ran to my coat rack, quickly putting on whatever I could find, and opened the door.
It was still raining hard. But I needed to see what it was.
As I got closer to the orange light, I could see it was a car. A black car. A mustang to be exact. Wait. A MUSTANG?!
"JASPER!" I yelled while running over to the broken down car. Smoke was rising from the hood of the car on the count of the cool rain water hitting the flames.
I went over to the passenger side to see Jasper, passed out with her head against the steering wheel.
"Oh fuck. Jasper! Can you hear me?!"
"Nghhh......"
She made a sound, thank god she was alive.
I took the latch of the door, trying to open it, but I couldn't. It seemed to be pried shut from impact.
"Jasper I'm gonna get you out of there! Just-just hold on!" I looked around me to see if I could find anything to pry open the door with and I saw a rusty looking crowbar on the floor.
I picked it up, placing the tail wedged in between the car and its door. With all my force I managed to break the handle.
Jasper came tumbling out like a lifeless dummy and I freaked out.
"Jasper! Are you ok?!" I knelt down and took Jasper by the shoulders, placing her head on my lap.
The glint of her gem was shining through the light. But I saw something. Something abnormal.
There was a crack.
"J-Jasper...Your gem..." I stuttered. I ran my thumb across her gem, feeling the ridged crack that made its way right through the middle.
"(Y-Y/N) I'm s-s-s-s-sorr-r-r-y." Her speech played like a broken record. It sounded as if a tape were getting played backwards and her entire being glitched. It felt as if she wasn't even there anymore.
"Jasper don't say you're sorry...You did nothing wrong. I'm gonna help you Jasper, I'm gonna get you help! But you need to help me! Get on your feet Jasper come on!" I got up, grabbing Jasper from under her arms. "Ready? One...two...three!" I pulled her up with all the force I could, along with her helping as well.
"G-ah!" She struggled on her feet, limping her way to where I was guiding her. I needed to get her to Rose.
Jasper weighted heavily on my shoulders. Her breath was short and she was whimpering like an injured puppy. I never thought I'd see this side of her.
I took my phone out and dialed Roses number. After all students were required to have her number if anything like this happened.
RING
RING
RING
"C'mon pick up!" I cursed under my breath.
"Hello?" Roses sweet voice made its way to my phone and I cried in happiness.
"Rose you need to help us! Please!" I cried out.
