Chapter 2: Sit in Your Assigned Seat!

I sat next to Jasper...

It echoed through my head and my heart started racing. How could I sit next to her without making a complete and utter fool of myself?

I'm already kind of a dweeb at heart. I only act tough because I'm afraid.

So I'm hoping Jasper doesn't see through me and make fun of me. Or doesn't wanna be near me.

I slowly walked down the hall, after Garnet had disappeared into the stairwell. I was so uneasy. I hate school, I hate people in general. I walked into the stairwell, people pushing and pulling at everyone else. Even though we were gems, it's as if we all had estrogen just completely filling the air. Everyone has somebody. Everyone except for me.

I kept walking up the steps. I reached the second floor. Someone bumped into me and I dropped her books, along with a skateboard she had in her hand.

"Shit I'm sorry dude. I couldn't see with all of this hair." She said as she knelt down. I followed and began picking her books up. She was a purple gem. She had a wild head of light lilac hair that covered one of her eyes. She had a black shirt with a skull on the front and dark grey jeans and black converses. She seemed like the type of gem I'd be friends with.

"Oh no, I should've watched where I was going. I was speeding to class so that's my fault." I picked up her skateboard and examined the art. There was a woman with the Devils horns and tail and she was completely naked. The boards backround was tinted in oranges reds and yellows resembling fire.

"Cool looking board." I say as I got up. I handed her skateboard to her and she smiled. "Thanks. You skate?"

I shrugged and leaned against the walls of the stairwell. "I skate here and there. But I'm mostly a motorcycle type of person." Her jaw dropped completely.

"That's so fucking cool. I wish I had a motorcycle. I'm Amethyst by the way." She stuck her hand out, gesturing a hand shake and I took my her hand in mine.

"(Y/N). What class do you have now?" I adjusted the strap on my book bag and she looked up at the ceiling, thinking to herself.

"I have chem. 301. You?"

"Same."

She smiled and grabbed my arm. "That's great! We'll let's go, we can't be late because the teacher is a really annoying."

"O-okay?" I followed her up the last flight of steps and I caught my breath at the last step. Amethyst swung the hallway doors open and walked through with me following.

We reached the classroom 301. There were a bunch of molecular structures hanging on the ceiling and models of different gems in glass cases.

"Class please take your seat!" I heard a voice call out. She was rather bubbly and seemed to be really excited to be here.

"As your first period teacher on your first day of school, I'll introduce myself." The teacher was rather big. Bigger than Garnet. She had a rather odd triangular shaped hair. Kinda like Peridorks. Except it was a soft white. She had a dark orange tint of skin and had 4 arms. Whenever she spoke I couldn't help but to notice the gap in between her teeth. She also had 4 eyes, covered by lightly tinted visors and wore a tuxedo like get-up. She looked much like a magician.

"I am the lovely Sardonyx coming to you live from the soon to be class of 2016! But in short you can can me Ms.Sardonyx." her entire torso twirled around when she said Ms.Sardonyx and I just stood in awe.
