Way too much was going on. My mom was back in a fucking relationship with the worst human ever. My brother was in a damn coma. My boyfriend and I haven't known each other very long.
3 WEEKS LATER
Xavier woke up from the coma. He couldn't remember much. He knew who all of were. Except for Adrian, of course. He was in total shock of mom and dad. I still was. I overheard my dad talking about proposing soon. I can't handle this shit.
"Mom I am going to Adrian's," I pat Lenny and left. It was Saturday and Xavier was still in the hospital. Today was Daniel and grandmother's turn.
"Okay I love you."
I turned the corner and walked right up to his huge house. He greeted me and told me to go to his room.
"Hey honey," he said and sat next to me and slung his arm around me.
"Hey," we pecked a short kiss.
"You okay?" he questioned.
"Yeah..." I said.
Adrian kissed my neck. I scrunched because it tickled. He chuckled and sucked. He was leaving a hickey.
"Adrian!" I squealed.
"What?" he laughed.
"Stop!" I giggled.
It ended in a tickle fight. He got on top of me and tickled my stomach. Adrian slowed down and lifted my shirt. "Wow," he said and kissed my stomach.
"Adrian," I groaned and pulled my shirt back down.
"No. Leave it. You are so beautiful," he ran his fingers across my stomach, giving me goosebumps.
"No, don't."
"What's this?" he pointed to my large scar.
"My dad, when we were younger. Please don't worry about it.
He eyed me. "I don't really think we should shake this off..."
"It's over with."
"Obviously. You don't want anyone seeing it,
it still matters to you."
"Well it definitely shapes who I am," I trailed off.
"What happened?" he traced the outline of the scar.
"Can I not talk about it?" I questioned struggling to get out from under him.
He eyed me again. "I mean whatever. It might help. But that's totally your idea and your choice." Adrian heaved a deep sigh.ADRIAN'S POINT OF VIEW
I don't understand why she doesn't want to talk about it.
"I have to go," Grace kissed my cheek and left. She is definitely not okay. This isn't how Grace acts. I don't want to upset her and lose her, she's beautiful and mine. I can't lose her. I would cry and lose my world.
"Mom, can I go visit Xavier?" I asked.
"That's fine," she was watching TLC.
I drove to the hospital and found the nearest parking spot. I saw Grace close behind. I quietly followed.
Room 367. I entered and everyone looked towards me.
"Adrian what the hell?" Grace asked trying to push me away.
"I need to talk to you," I stated.
"Can it wait there is too much going on," she had tears in her eyes. I couldn't resist I hugged her. She cried for at least 3 minutes in my shoulder.
"Shhh it's going to be okay," I rocked back and forth.
"I can't do this anymore," she felt weak. Her parents and grandma were staring.
"Who's that?" Xavier asked finally.
Daniel explained because I was too busy comforting Grace. Grace had breathing almost equivalent to a sprinkler.
"I can't do this anymore. I hate my damn life," Grace escaped from my hug and slammed the door and walked down the doorway. Leaving a deafening silence in the room.
