Weeks passed since the night Tyler opened up to me. We went on dates very often and I loved knowing that I wasn't just some girl he wanted in his bed. I still couldn't believe that my imaginary boyfriend used to sleep around so much. It really came to my attention when we went out to eat one night and I excused myself to use the restroom.
Upon returning I saw a girl standing at the table who I assumed was either and ex girlfriend or just someone he used to fuck because she was all over him. I could tell he was uncomfortable because he kept pushing her off but still wanted to be polite. To say I was jealous was an understatement. I quickly walked to the table and took my seat across from him.
He glances at me and smiles. I knew he was thankful that I returned. When I look at the girl I falter a bit but she doesn't notice. She was beyond gorgeous. Her mocha colored skin is smoothed to perfection, and curves to die for. She's very attractive, I'll give her that. She looks similar to Victoria's Secret model, Jasmine Tookes. There's no way in hell I can compete with that.
"So are you The Girlfriend, or just a fuck?" I gape at her straightforwardness and before I can say anything Tyler chimes in.
"She's The Girlfriend, and Taylor you really need to chill," he says disgustingly. I smile at Tyler for acknowledging what we were because I didn't know exactly.
She glances at Taylor and throws her head back in laughter. "Jesus, Tyler. I'm only kidding," she throws her hands up in defense "besides, I was asking your girl not you." She extends one of her manicured hands towards me. "I'm Taylor," she coos.
I stare at her hand and glance up at her. "No need for introductions, I heard him say your name."
She smiles at me clearly amused and look at Tyler. "She's feisty," without taking her eyes off of him she points a finger at me, "keep her," and stalks off.
Tyler mouths a wow, clearly taken aback by the little altercation. "Sorry about that babe. Taylor can still be very touchy-feely."
I stop eating my shrimps and look at him. "Clearly," I say sarcastically. I nod over to where she is sitting with some guy. "Who is she?"
He follow my eyes and then look back at me. "She's my ex. We basically dated all through high school."
Wow high school sweethearts I think to myself. Before I can say anything Tyler starts talking. "Our relationship was very fucked up. I'm not gonna lie. It was an on and off again kind of thing."
I furrow my eyebrows together. "Why?"
He blows out a breath and runs his fingers through his hair. It's his nervous habit. "Because, I cheated on her too many times to count, but she always came back. I ended up sleeping with one of her friends and that was it for her."
I gape at him and start to stand. He grabs my arm and looks up at me. "Addy, I told you. I was fucked up. I didn't care about anything and I know what I did was wrong. Taylor didn't deserve that, but I couldn't help it and I'm not trying to make any excuses up for that."
I blow out a breath that I didn't know I was holding in. "Damn, Ty. That's so fucked up."
He stands and put the money on the table for our bill. He pulls me in to kiss me on the forehead. "I know it is. I've learned from my mistakes. I'd never do that again and especially not to you." He reaches down and gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
That night was two months ago and our relationship is going smoothly.
I'm in my room with Ava and Madison getting ready for one last party with my best friends. The spring semester was quickly approaching and I'm sad because I knew by next week, we would all be back at school.
