"Where have you been, Lynn?"

I look at my cousin and see he's a little on edge.

"I went to visit my mom. I needed to talk to her and catch her up on us. I didn't tell her anything she doesn't already know because she's watching over the both of us."

Josh gives me a sad smile. "That's good, Lynn. I miss her so much."

"Yeah," I say. "Me too."

He tilt his head to the side and looks at me. "Wait? So you haven't heard?"

"Heard what?"

"Tyler was in a accident a couple of hours ago. He was under the influence."

All I hear is Tyler and accident. If I thought anything else couldn't happen, I was wrong. I leave out of the house just as fast as I came. I get in the car not realizing that I don't which hospital he's at. Before I send Josh a text he's already running towards the car.

"Where is he," I ask.

We arrive at TriHealth Hospital and I rush through the emergency room. I approach the lady sitting at the desk.

She looks up from the computer and smiles. "Hi, what can I do for you, miss?"

"I'm here to see Tyler Jameson."

The lady types his name into the database. "Are you immediate family."

"No, he's my boyfriend."

"I'm sorry miss, but as of right now, only family is allowed to visit him." I close my eyes and breathe very slowly. I'm trying to figure out a way around this. "Is he okay?"

"I cannot give you any information." I run my fingers through my hair and glance to where Josh is sitting.

"Please," I beg. "I really need to know if he's okay."

She stares at me for a while, debating if she's going to help me.

"Okay," she gives in. "I'm not supposed to do this, but yes he's okay." I breathe a sigh of relief from the information. "Thank you so much."

I walk to the seat Josh saved for me and tell him what the clerk told me.

"So, what now?"
"We just wait," I say.

I lay my head on Josh's shoulder and think. I'm really glad Tyler is okay because he doesn't deserve any of this. I am mad at him for drinking and driving though. That was very stupid of him.

Hours passed and we still haven't seen him. I look up at my cousin and hug him.

"Thank you so much for being here with me."

He returns my hug and tries to smile at me. "I'll always be here for you, Lynn."

"I know you'd rather be with Madison right now, so you can leave if you want."

He pulls me away from him and lifts my chin. "I'm not going anywhere. She already knew I'd be here with you."

I thank him again and bow my head. I say a silent prayer and before I finish I feel someone touch my shoulder. I look up and see Sophia standing over me. Her face looks so tired and I know she's been up all night and morning worrying for her son. I stand and she pulls me in her embrace.

"Hi, Sophia."

"Hello, Adalyn. It's good to see you," she whispers.

I glance at the figure next to her and the resemblance is striking.
