*Celina's POV*
As I was sitting in class, it occured to me that having a full bottle of water at lunch, was a bad idea. I could really use the bathroom. However, the teacher was teaching us a new lesson today in chemistry. We were doing a lab soon based on the lesson and if I missed that, I wouldn't know what to do and I would get a big fat F. So, I waited a bit and tried to listen to her lesson as best as I could.
Finally, after a good 15 minutes, she announced her conclusion and I couldn't hold it in any longer.
"May I go to the restroom Mrs. Kinsley?" I uttered out quickly.
"Of course Celina, but don't be too long," my teacher warned.
"Yes, Mrs. Kinsley!" I yelled out before I rushed to the door, grabbed a pass, seized the door open and fast-walked down the hall. I passed by bulletin boards filled with students' work. I would've loved to take a look but I was in a rush at the moment. I finally reached the restrooms, flung the door open and went into one of the stalls.
When I was done, I sighed with relief and walked over to one of the sinks and washed my hands. I looked up to see my reflection in the mirror. As I glanced at myself for a minute though, I was sure I saw red eyes and a dark figure staring at me near the corner of the mirror. I froze. But after standing there for what seemed like forever, the glowing, red eyes, and the black figure, disappeared. Nothing was out of the ordinary besides the bathroom stalls and myself. I looked behind me and realized that nobody was there. Only then did I realize that I had been holding my breath. I exhaled deeply. It was probably just my imagination, I thought. I snatched a paper towel, dried my hands and arms, and discarded it to the trash can.
My shoes squeaked against the drenched floor as I made my way to the door. I was about to step out of the restroom when I heard a loud thud behind me. It sounded like someone was in here with me after all. I slowly turned around with my hand still on the doorknob. What I saw made me gasp in shock. I lurched back and pressed my back towards the door. It was not someone, more like something.
It was an ugly-looking creature with beady, red eyes and skin that seemed to have the texture of a reptile. It had a long scaly tail and two hands with three fingers and sharp claws. Its legs were thick and what looked like dinosaur feet were at the ends of its legs. It glared at me with so much rage in its eyes that I was frightened even to talk. I saw the bathroom window swinging wide open. It must have gone in through the window.
"I have finally found you Warrior of Fire! Prepare to face the wrath of my fury!" the creature announced across the room. I flinched at his loud and commanding voice. I could feel a bad aura around this dude. I don't know how I felt a bad aura I just did.
"Who are you....what are you doing here? What do you want from me? And why exactly are you in a lady's bathroom???" I started spitting out questions faster than I meant them to come out. I was still shaken from the fact that this creature had just called me the 'Warrior of Fire.' I didn't know anoybody that went by that name! It certainly wasn't me!
The creature just ignored me and shot out a ball of red energy at me. On instinct, I dodged the illuminating ball of light before it was about to hit me. Instead, the power hit the door, blowing it up into little pieces instantly. Oh god, I do NOT want to be hit with that! The creature threw another ball of explosive magic at me. I dodged this one too.
Eventually the creature gave up throwing the magic spheres and backed me up into a corner. Before I could react, The monstrous creature charged at me and slammed me into the wall. My head smashed into the wall and black spots danced in my vision. The wind was knocked right out of me and I gasped. Its hand locked across my neck and pinned me to the wall. It lifted me up until I couldn't reach the floor and held me there. I couldn't breathe. Its sharp claws were digging into my flesh and I could feel blood starting to trickle down my neck. I tried to punch it so it would stop but it was a feeble attempt. I was weakened by the impact of the creature's charge at me. Even if I had my full strength, I wouldn't have made a single scratch on him. The skin of the creature was as thick as a metal pipe!
"Don't make such a useless attempt to hit me. I'm surprised you even are a warrior. You can' t even use your power," My power? What the heck is he talking about? I thought as I moved wildly in his grip to create a little room, enough for me to get some air. However, the monster only tightened it's grip on my neck and it's claws digged deeper into my skin. I winced.
"I see," he started talking again, "by the look of confusion on your face you seem to have not been trained. That just makes it more easier to complete the task. And now, I have you in my hand, helpless with nobody to save you!" he cackled with delight as my vision started to fade. I tried to stay conscious but my vision was failing me. I struggled and my hands came up to the creature's hand to try to loosen it's grip. It was no use. The creature was just too strong. My hands gave way and they fell to my sides.
Right as I was about to fall out of consciousness, the creature abruptly released its grip on me as a blue light smashed into it. I immediately collapsed to my knees and coughed uncontrollably. I tried to make out my hero's features. Through my hazy vision I saw a guy shooting blue-colored balls of energy at the creature. I heard the creature scream and I fell on my side, still heaving from the lack of oxygen from a moment ago.
Before the world turned dark and it was lights out for me for good. I was able to make out a boy walking towards me and staring at me with electric, blue eyes.
