*Celina's POV*

"Mmm! This is delicious Calder!" I exclaim with a mouthful of sandwich in my mouth. Calder chuckles at my enthusiasm and he takes another big bite of his ham and lettuce sandwich. I set down my half-eatten sandwich and grab my glass of orange juice. The sweet liquid runs down my throat. I sigh at the amazing lunch.

I feel like I am in my happy place. I haven't been in my happy place for a while now. It feels great just to make it seem like we have normal lives. For once I have no stressful thoughts on my mind. I set down my glass of orange juice and my eyes look up to Calder's eyes. He sees me looking at him and he stares back at me. He gives me a goofy smile and I smile back.

For some reason, every time I look at him I get this weird tingly emotion of happiness. Is that odd?

Anyways, we finish our lunch and Calder brings the tray with our empty plates and glasses back to the kitchen.

I stay sitting in bed and grab a tissue from the tissue box that's on the bed dresser next to me. I wipe my hands and face and throw the tissue into the wastebasket that is next to the dresser. Then, I sit there waiting for Calder to come back. Thankfully, my wrists don't hurt that much and I could move them pretty fairly. However, my ankles are a different story. They still hurt every time I moved them a bit too much. I can stand now but I can't walk. At least, I can walk but a lot of pain would be inflicted through my body. As I'm thinking about this, I wonder where Calder is and what is taking so long.

I start to get up to see where he is and put on my shoes that were conveniently next to the bed. Slowly but surely, I trudge toward the doorway. I try not to move my ankles. But, my right foot accidentally here placed down on the wooden floor too roughly and a wave of pain hits me like a ton of bricks. I gasp and breathe in and out.

I finally make it out of the door when I hear a scream. My eyes turn frantic and I run down the hallway as fast as I can. Ok, not really run but I hobble toward the kitchen. My ankles hurt like knifes have been stuck into them and stars are dancing in the corners of my vision. Sweat rolls down my face but I have to keep going.

It takes a while but I finally make it to the kitchen. I see Calder holding up a shield of ice and another monster is there with him! He is breathing hard and his body is drenched with water! I hide in the hallway and watch the monster's power. Turns out, the power is water.

*Calder's POV*

With the tray on my hand, I stride over to the kitchen. All I can think about is Celina. Her beautiful smile lightens up my mood every single time. I smile myself. Then I shake my head. Calder! What the heck are you thinking? I scold myself in my mind and keep walking to the kitchen.

Finally, I reach the kitchen and put the try in the sink. I start to wash the dishes. I grab the yellow sponge, squeeze some soap onto it, and put a bit of water on it. I then massage the sponge so that the bubbles form and take over the sponge. I grab the first plate and scrub it clean. Then, I put it onto the drying rack and so this over and over again.

I finish all the dishes and wipe my hands dry with a towel. Without warning, something hits me hard in the back and I'm thrown to the ground. I scream in surprise and shuddering, I get back up. I touch my back and feel, water? Well, this monster seems to be of the water element. I spin around and see a girl in a dark blue dress jump through the open window. Wow, I was stupid to leave the window open. I sau in my mind. I get into a fighting stance and I strike back.

My magic creates an ice sphere and I throw it at her. She quickly melts it using her water powers. I gap at her powers. I am at a disadvantage here. She summons a water wave and I get washed away into it and my body hits the floor once more. I gasp for breath and scramble away from another current of water that is hurled at me.
I rush to my feet and quickly summon a very thick ice shield in front of me. My hands add more ice to it to keep it stable. The woman blasts water at the shield.

It's not just ordinary water, though, it's hot water. I know because the ice shield is sizzling and melting away. I strain to keep the ice shield up. If the hot water gets to me, I will die! I blast another ice layer onto my shield. "Oh, I'm in so much trouble..." I mumble as I grit my teeth.

*Celina's POV*

I watch Calder add another layer of ice on his shield. He is gritting his teeth and straining against the woman's attacks. There is a lot of steam and Calder's shield is slowly waning. I need to help him.

From the hallway, I poke my hand out a bit and summon a fire boomerang. My eyes peek at the rim of the doorway and I throw the boomerang. It spins and spins toward the water lady's back. Calder stares at it with wide-eyes.

He falters a bit and his shield gets threateningly thin. He quickly adds two more layers but they are lousy because he is rushing. The water rushes at him. But, before the water can reach him, my fire boomerang pierces the lady's back. She screams as the fire consumes her body, extinguishing out the water magic. She screams angrily and rushes out of the window. Obviously she would lose against a fire user. Calder stares at me as if I'm an unknown animal. My legs suddenly give way and I collapse to my knees. The pain is too much. Calder rushes over to me as darkness takes control once again.
