*Celina's POV*
I heard nothing but silence around me. I squinted my eyes as they opened to a bright light staring down at me. I seemed to have been in some sort of room. My eyes finally adjusted to the light and I took a look at my surroundings. I was lying on a bed and there were white walls surrounding me and doctor tools on a little tray next to me. I seemed to be in the nurse's office. I heaved myself up in a sitting position. I looked down at my hands and saw multiple bandages on my palms and fingers. I peeled one off carefully and saw a red scratch mark that was swelling. I cringed at the sight. I put the bandage back on. I looked at the mirror that was across from me from the bed and saw a few bandages covering some wounds on my neck as well.
That's when it all came back to me. The creature, the explosions, the piercing blue eyes. What had just happened? What was that back there?
"Oh hello! You're awake," someone exclaimed loudly through the room and interrupted my thoughts. The nurse came in with a clipboard and wore a white nurse's coat. "You've been out for a while. One of the students found you on the floor unconscious in the bathroom. She was kind enough to bring you here. By the way, how did you get injuries in the bathroom?" the nurse explained and questioned.
"O-oh I s-see," I tried to reply. However my voice came out in a such a hoarse whisper that you could barely hear it. The nurse handed me a bottle of water and I drank the cool liquid. "Honestly, I don't know how I got the injuries. Who was the girl?" I asked and lied at the same time in a better voice. Most likely she wouldn't believe my little story.
"Um, she was this girl named Kana? I'm not sure if I remember," she implied. But I knew exactly who she was talking about.
"Was her name Lana?" I asked hopefully as I drank another swig of water.
"Yes! That's the one. She seemed very worried about you. Are you close to her?" the nurse asked me while glancing at me with a questioning look.
"Yeah we are best friends. We've been through almost everything together," I replied with a smile on my lips. The nurse nodded slowly and smiled back. "Um, when can I go back to class?" I asked and examined my hands.
"Actually you may go right now! Your wounds are nothing a few days of rest can't fix. If you are comfortable, of course you may leave. However, if you need a bit more rest here, you are more than welcome to," the nurse answered my question and waited for my response.
"I'm fine, really. Thank you for taking care of me," I said while getting out of the bed. My knees wobbled a bit before I finally stabilised. I carefully and slowly walked towards the door. I waved goodbye to the nurse, turned the doorknob and walked out the door. I saw a clock on the wall of the hallways as I was strolling down them and glanced at the time. 2:30? I was out for that long??? I wondered in my head. I shrugged my shoulders and walked to ELA. That was my last class for the day.
But as I was walking I noticed that I didn't have my books. I sighed and facepalmed myself. How could I have been so stupid as to not bring my books??!! I yelled quietly to myself and started a fast-paced walk to the chemistry room. I peeked through the window of the door to see Mrs. Kinsley and a group of students doing a lesson. I scanned the area of the classroom and noticed my books weren't anywhere in the classroom. That's strange, I'm sure this was the class I was in before that bathroom incident.
A bit confused, I trudged down the hallways to the ELA room. However, since the chemistry room was on the second floor all the way to the left end of the school and the ELA room was on the first floor all the way to the right end of the school, the bell rang as soon as I got there. All the students rushed out, eager to go home. I waited for Lana to come out as the students brushed past me. Lana was always the last one out of the classroom.
When Lana came out she gasped loudly in shock at my appearance and rushed to me in a hug. "OMG I WAS SO SCARED ARE YOU OK? WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED IN THE BATHROOM??" she practically screamed in my ear. I pointed at her arms to indicate her that she was making it hard for me to breathe.
Lana let go of me and I breathed a huge sigh of relief. "First of all Lana, calm down I'm not dead or anything. Second, you practically made me deaf. And third, I'll probably explain the bathroom incident later so don't worry," I explained to her calmly. She took a deep breath.
"Ok you are fine now right? Nothing that can't be fixed?" she asked with concern.
"I'm fine. They're just little scratches. No big deal. Now what did I miss after being asleep for a while? Also, where are my books?" I questioned her.

"Ugh!!!! I hate this! Why is there so much homework for chemistry and ELA???" I complained to myself as I walked home with my heavy backpack practically weighing me down and papers in my hands. I sighed as I slinged the backpack around my shoulders so it was in front of me and I shoved the papers in. After that I twirled it so the backpack was in my back again. Turns out that Lana had been so kind as to bring my books to ELA. When I didn't come back from chemistry she gave my books a lift.I was only one more block away from my house when a car came whizzing towards me and stopped right next to me. I froze in my tracks immediately and stared at the car. It was a bright, shiny red car with custom wheels and an impeccable, shining, wax coat. I stared at it slack-jawed. I looked inside to see a guy with a black coat on, wearing a tie and a white shirt underneath the coat. He looked about a little older than my age. He opened the car window and snapped his gaze towards me through his black sunglasses.
"Hop in," he said more like a command than an offer.
"No thanks, I know all about these scenarios in books and movies. I don't hitch-hike." I reply back at him with innocent eyes and a smile. Even though he looked pretty good-looking and had an amazing car, I would never hitch-hike. These days, trusting a stranger was a very bad idea.
"Listen munchkin," Munchkin? What the heck kind of name is that? "we could do this the easy way, or the hard way..." he threatened while cracking his knuckles. I gulped and my hands started to sweat as I gripped them hard in fists at my sides. The existing scratches were painful but I could manage the pain. I slowly backed away step by step, then in a rush, I quickly ran from the car. I pumped my feet into the ground and whizzed past many houses. Thankfully I decided to wear sneakers today. I could hear the engine of the car tailing behind me. I ran faster. I was a pretty good runner in the track team. However I was no match for my opponent. He had a car. Even with my super fast running skills I couldn't outrun him. As I was about to reach my house, the boy grabbed my arm and dragged me towards the car. He must've come out at some point. I struggled against his grip but he was too strong. He put cuffs around my wrists and pushed me in the backseat. He then put a cloth in my mouth, gagging me. I coughed for a few minutes because of the yucky taste of the rag. After a few seconds of coughing, the guy pulled out a syringe and my eyes widened. I didn't know what was in that thing!! I tried to scooch away from him but he was too quick. He grabbed my arm, tore off a piece of cloth and inserted the syringe. It didn't hurt, I just didn't want to be injected with anything from a stranger. My assumptions were right because in a moment of seconds my arm started to feel numb. The numbness spread to my whole body. I gasped in shock. He had paralyzed me!! Soon, the syringe liquid had spread all over from head to toe.
Before he was about to get in the car as well, he said,
"I don't want to have to chase you out of the car every time we stop. I didn't want to do this but this is the only way. So stay still and be a good girl."Hello readers! This is the third update! Hope you enjoyed it.
