The Mistake (Chapter 12)

Chapter 12

LILLY'S POV

I ended up falling asleep, but I felt Louis look at me for a while now. I smiled and turned in my carseat, leaning my head against the window..

As I was sleeping I felt a hesitant poke on my shoulder, which woke me up. "Lilly wake up we're here!", the person whispered.

I opened my eyes and smiled up at the figure after I realized it was Louis. Luckily, I wasn't a heavy sleeper, so it wasn't hard for him to wake me up. If I was Zayn it would be a completely different story from what I have heard from Louis.

His blue eyes looked into my green ones and we held eye contact. After staring at each other for what felt like hours I finally broke the eye contact and said, "Hey Lou are you ready?"

Again he smiled at me. He said, "Yes! And hey you used my nickname."

He gave me a wink and right on cue I blushed.

She looks so cute when she blushes, I heard him say.

Then all of a sudden, I felt myself start to blush even more. Now it was Louis' turn for his face to turn red.

"I said that o-out loud?" He laughed awkwardly as I giggled.

"Ready my lady?" He said cheekily, trying to change the subject.

"Let's go." I said brightly to him, very excitedly.

He ran up to my door and opened it for me . I thanked him and before I could get out, he put a blindfold on me.

"Hey! What was that for?" I crossed my arms and started to pout, but then laughed.

"You aren't supposed to see where we're going, it's a surprise." He laughed at me and grabbed my hand and put me in front of him because he was guiding me to the surprise.

"Where are we going?" I asked curiously, shifting my shoulders to try to face him. Before I could do that, he turned me back around so he could resume leading me.

"Again it's a surprise I can't tell- oh we're here stay where you are." He said as I felt the grip on my arms loosen and felt him run by me.

He then returned to where I stood and took off my blindfold.

He smiled brightly at me as I took in the surroundings. I saw a table right near a pond with a picnic basket and a single candle on it. There were two chairs around the table. Thats when I noticed the pond. Lit paper lanterns were in a boat, and they stood out against the darkened sky. I looked back at him surprised.

"Y-you did this all for me?"

"Of course! Well, with they boys' help."

"Thank you." I hugged him and he couldn't stop smiling.

"You're welcome. Now lets eat!" We both ran up to the table that he set up near the water and opened the picnic basket.

Harry made two chicken salad sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries. Plus, Louis brought waters, chips and grapes.

Before he could say anything I grabbed one of everything and put it all in front of me and started eating.

"I take it that you're hungry?" He said jokingly.

"Starved." I said back winking at him.

For the next few hours, there was never an awkward moment.

We were eating our cookies and laughing after he told a joke and Louis blurted out, "W-will you be my girlfriend?" After he said this, I was blushing.

I looked up at him and said, "Ye-"

I never got to finish because Liam ran up to us with Niall right behind him.

"Lilly can I talk to you quickly?"

Hesitantly I said, "O-ok." I followed Liam to a tree and waited to hear what he was going to say.

He whispered, "I like you." As he said this he was advancing toward me and I didn't fully realize this until his lips were on mine.

I was shocked when I realized we were kissing and that I was when I tried pushing him off of me.

"This is too sudden, you're not thinking straight. At first I admit I had small feelings for you, but now I don't."

I stomped over to Louis and grabbed his arm.

"I-i'm sorry Liam, I like Louis not you." I was on the verge of tears as I said this.

He looked at her and said, " No I'm sorry I don't know why I did that." He went up to her and hugged her.

He whispered in my ear, "Again, I'm so sorry Lilly. After I started having small feelings for you too, it started to make me forget about Danielle, and it's been rough for me after the breakup."

I gave him a small smile and said, "I understand Liam." We hugged and then we went separate ways.

Liam looked at Louis and mouthed "I'm sorry" and turned to Niall and nodded to him. They went back to their car and left the park, which left Louis and I alone again.

As he was zoned out, I can up to Louis and hugged him again.

With our faces just centimeters apart, I said, "I never got to answer your question."

"Oh yeah? Now what's your anwser?" He questioned.

"Yes!" I said and I closed the gap between us and kissed him. It was defiantly the best kiss ever. I've only had a couple of boyfriends, and the kisses I shared with them are nothing compared to the one me and Louis are having right now. It was gentle, yet passionate at the same time.

A few seconds later, we both pulled back both breathing heavily. We looked up at each other and smiled.

I knew that then this was a start to a great relationship and I wonder if he thought the same thing.

So I keep doing the same events with different POVs so you can know what the other characters are thinking too. I'm sorry if that's confusing at all!

This is sort of a filler chapter, but bear with me. I keep thinking of ways I want this story to go, but at some point this week ill figure out what to do.

As for the update, Saturday is not going to work (graduation party) along with Sunday (look at my bio lol) and Friday won't either so I might update monday. Lately, I've noticed that I get barely any votes on chapters, so if you want an update vote!
