Brooke's POV:
Abby already knew, about the baby. But now I had to tell the girls since, well, I couldn't dance until she was born. Nick had been surprisingly good about it. We had already come up with some names, and gotten some arrangements made. Today was the day I told the girls. It was the day before Maddie's funeral, the Monday after the competition. I was nervous, but when Abby called us for pyramid, I knew I was ready. She uncovered the pyramid, which I didn't remember, and then told the girls I had to tell them something.
"I can't dance for the next eight months, because, I um, I'm pregnant." I said, everyone gasped. I almost started crying at the looks on their faces. Then they did something I wouldn't expect.
"We'll miss you, Brookie!" Everyone shouted, hugging me. I smiled.
"I'll miss you too." I sighed. Then, Abby dismissed me, and the girls started to warm up.
In the den, I bumped into someone. I looked up, and saw Nick.
"So, how'd it go?" He asked.
"Pretty good, they seemed surprised, but, fine with it." I said.
"Good. I have modern, so, I'll text you after." He said, pecking me on the lips.
"Ok!" I said, and went up to the dancer's den. I played on my phone for a while, and then mom took me home. I ate some food, and texted Nick, then went to bed.
It was weird not waking up super early for dance, but at school, I was all the gossip. I ignored it until lunch, when Peyton, the mean girl (who also dances at ALDC) came up to me.
"Did you get wasted and laid again, slut? Or was this one planned?" She snapped, and strutted away, leaving everyone laughing at me. I felt tears pricking at my eyes, and ran for the door. On Instagram, I had a ton of hate from Dance Mom fans, and kids I went to school with. Slut, slut, slut, was all I saw. I bawled, and ran out the school doors. Claudia called after me.some of my other friends too. I kept running, leaving everyone behind, until I was behind the ALDC building, in the grass. I sat next to the tree crying. Was I really a slut? Is that all that people thought of me? Yes, apparently. I cried. Soon, Gianna was sitting next to me.
"Brooke? What's the matter?" She asked, soothingly.
"Am I really a-a slut?"
"No! Brooke! You just made a mistake! You're human!"
"E-everyone keeps saying that!" I exclaimed.
"Brooke, are the people saying that stuff people you care about?"
"N-no."
"Then they shouldn't matter! The people who care about you, and that you care about shouldn't say that stuff, because they are the ones that know you."
"Ok." I sighed, reluctantly.
"What's wrong?" She asked, again.
"I don't want to go home."
"Brooke, everyone is looking for you! You've been gone for two hours! Lucky for you, I know you too well. I found you before you're mom."
I let out a small smile.
"But, I guess you can crash at my place for a hour or two." She said, slowly. I jumped up, and hugged her.
"Thanks Gia, you're the best person ever!" I exclaimed. We drove to her house, and I laid down on the couch. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.
