Tom and I have been very busy. I have been buying presents for mine and his parents; they are having dinner with us on the second day of Christmas and Tom thought it would be fun to have a new year's party. So there is a lot to do. Of course I am still looking for a temporary job, till the new semester starts and scholarship can start. I'm going to be studying English, Biology & Geography. I love those subjects.

Tom taps his finger on my forehead. I awake from my datdream and get dragged back into real life. "So is it okay if I invite some guys and girls from college?"

"Hm what? Sorry I was daydreaming."

Tom smiles and rolls his eyes. "My grandma is living in the Christmas tree and my dad is a stripper. My stepdad however is a famous singer and a longlost family member of Nicholas Cage. Sometimes I wonder if you ever really pay attention to what I am saying."

"I do pay attention. Yeah you can invite some guys and girls from college. Oh my god!"

I almost forgot that Jeremy will be coming home today. I promised him I'd wait for them at the airport.

"What's it?"

"Jeremy is coming home today! Oh please can I invite him? To your party?"

He smiles like he has a toothache. "Tom, he's my bestfriend and he's married. To your niece. They're happily married."

"Yeah yeah. But it still could go wrong. I know he loves you."

God! "Seriously?! Tom he's my best friend. You can't be serious. Tom. It is your cousin. If this is serious and I can't hang with my male friends. That's so mean. I will not be attending to that dinner."

"I'm sorry. I see every guy as a potential threat."

"Tom I'm just a simple girl. Nothing to worry about."

He cups my face. "Mia. You're not just any girl. You are beautiful, gorgeous, smart, funny and cute. And you're my girl. My girlfriend I mean."

"You're just full of crap today. Let's go to the supermarket."

"Fine. I'm going to get my shoes and jacket. Wear something warm."

"I will. Hurry up."

I look for my mittens but I cannot find them. Well. It's not like I really have been searching. I'm actually lying on the bed. Staring at the ceiling. "So I was wondering whether you would still come down. But you are sitting on the bed. "

"As a matter of fact I'm lying on the bed."
Tom grabs my ankle and drags me off the bed.

"We are going to be late. Hurry up."

I smile and he continues dragging me through the apartment. I bump my head against the frontdoor and we both keep laughing.

Once we are finally in the supermarket, Tom keeps throwing unnecessary things in our kart. I keep putting the stuff back. It's annoying.

"Tom we don't need cat food. We don't even have a cat!"

"Well it could be your Christmas present."

I stop in my tracks. "Tom I'm allergic."

"Damn I think I'll just have to get a dog."

"Dogs frighten me."

"How on earth is that possible."

I sigh and walk to the cashier. She starts scanning the products.

I hold up my creditcard and pay for the groceries.

Tom, being the gentleman he isn't carries the bags for me. "You act like a lousy husband. My lousy husband."
