I don't like hospitals, they are too bright. Plus they smell weird. Imagine my happiness when I opened my eyes in a bright, weird smelling room.  I looked around the room and saw Scott sleeping in a big chair next to my bed. On  the opposite side  of my bed was a big  window that looked out over the road in front of the hospital. I took a sip of the water that was on the nightstand. Which was a very big mistake. It was water with an aspirin in it. I  instantly started coughing trying to get the nasty taste out of my mouth. I  saw in the corner of  my eyes Scott  waking up.

"Sorry." I said still coughing. Scott stood up and walked closer to my bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Numb from the waist down." I answered and peeked under the covers to see if I actually still had legs. I did, they were just covered from ankle up to  my knee in bandages. "How bad is  it?"

"From what I heard you got very lucky." He answered. I laid back and closed my eyes for a second. Slowly I started remembering how I got in the hospital; Bright red eyes, the weird elf ears and jumping through a window and escape unharmed. It seemed like a distant dream now. But it  was too weird for me to have made up.

"The guy who did this," I started and opened my eyes to look at my suddenly very nervous brother. "Did he get caught?"

"The police are still searching."He answered way to quickly. I raised one of my eyebrows but let this one slide, for now.

"How are Stiles and his father?" I asked. He looked out of the window for a few second but answered.

" Sheriff Stilinski is fine, just a broken arm." He said and coughed. "And Stiles has a concussion. Nothing that bad."

"Hurts like hell though." Stiles said. I didn't notice him standing in the doorway. He was eating - no, devouring - a small cup of jelly. He walked towards us and then I noticed the deputy standing outside of my hospital room.

"What is the police doing here?" I asked and looked to see if it was the same deputy as before. It wasn't, but he really did look like him. Stiles and Scott looked at each other for a few seconds and then back to me. It's weird how they do everything nearly in sync.

"I heard the guy talking to you Rosemary."Stiles said and leaned with both of his hand on my bed. He looked back at Scott for a second and then to me. "The guy obviously isn't right in the head, and he's got a... thing for you."

"Oh." I said eventually, not knowing how else to respond. I rubbed my temples with my fingers and closed my eyes for a second. I must've mistaken. There is no way that the guy actually ripped the door out of it's handles, or had bright red eyes. I must have just hit my head at some point.

"Hey Rose," Scott started and pulled me out of my daze. "We kinda need to talk to you about what you saw."

My hands became kinda sweaty and my heart started pounding harder. I tried to appear cool though. "What do you mean?"

"You said he wasn't human." Stiles stated. "What did you see?"

"uhm, I- I saw.." I tried finding a way to not sound like a complete moron when I explained what I saw. "You saw him too right Stiles?"

"No," He answered and looked kinda pissed off. "I didn't, I had my back to him."

"Oh well, I probably hit my head or something." I quickly brushed it off. But Scott seemed very interested, maybe a even a little bit too much.

"We'll explain everything to you after you tell us what he looked like okay Rose? You didn't hit your head. That was real." Scott said very patiently. I nodded slowly and looked back at the officer that was standing outside of my room. He was playing a game on his phone.

"He had brown, long hair and kinda looked homeless." I said "And, uh, he had bright red eyes and those elf ears from The Lord of the Rings."

"Red eyes?" Scott asked. "Are you sure?"

"Positive." I answered. "Can you tell me how that sounds normal to you? What was he? Like a cosplayer or something?" Scott looked confused and Stiles started laughing loudly. I could feel my head turning red out of shame.

"We'll explain everything when you get out of the hospital okay? We can't really talk about it here." Scott said on a hushed tone, eyeing the officer. I nodded and looked at the officer too. He was still playing the game on his phone. Only looking up when someone walked by. Strangely, with Scott and Stiles around I felt safer then with that cop.
