Happy new year everyone :)

I tried my best avoiding Liam for the days after that. Even though they didn't give me much of an explanation I figured it would be the smartest thing to do, I mean am I here to bond with my brother or one of his ex-friends? It was kind of hard avoiding him though, since we had most of our classes together. I saw Liam looking back at me and move his arm backwards under the table. He had a small piece of paper  in his hand. I grabbed it from under the table and unfolded it.

Do you wanna go to the winter formal with me?

[] Yes  [] No

With  a sigh I added a box and wrote 'brother won't allow me to'. I placed the paper  back in his hand and watched as he unfolded it.  He sat very still for a second but then started writing on the other side of the paper. Without even looking at the teacher he turned around and placed the paper on my desk. He didn't even turned back around, he just waited as I read the question.

Coffee after school?

"You know I can't." I whispered.

"I'll invite Scott too." He whispered back. I rolled my eyes and sat back in my chair.

"Fine."

I tapped my finger on the wooden table, hoping that time will magically go faster. It didn't. The awkward silence started when Liam sat down, and beside small talk hasn't changed a bit. I already excused myself twice to go to the bathroom. So that's not an option anymore. Scott and Liam were having some sort of awkward stare off that never ended. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my bag from under the table.

"Where are you going?" Scott asked and for the first time looked away from his boyfriend.

"Home." I answered and put my jacket on. "Thanks for the coffee."

I walked out of the store and heard Liam say something to Scott. I didn't hear the sentence, only the last word. Wolf.  It seemed like a pretty lame name to call someone but there was something in the way he said it. He said it extra loudly. I ignored it and walked out of the store. Within twenty seconds Scott came walking next to me.

"Don't hang out with Liam." He warned me again. I rolled my eyes and stopped walking. I was done with this secret stuff. I heard Scott sneaking out again last night, after having what sounded like a very stressful phone call. There were secrets in this town. And what I hate most is not being apart of them. Everyone knows. I can feel it. It doesn't really help me trying to fit in here.

"I'm done with this Scott." I stated as he looked at me confused. "I don't want to be friends with Liam, I want to be friends with you. But I know you're all keeping something from me."

I saw that he tried to hide it, but his eyes widened a little bit and one of his eyebrows shot up. He relaxed into a more casual position.

"We're not keeping any secrets." He said. I huffed and crossed my arms across my chest.

"Okay, then I think I'll just say yes to Liam's invitation to go to the winter formal together." I said as if I meant it. Scott laughed.

"Really, he invited you?" He asked on a mocking tone that only pissed me off more.

"What is it with you two?" I spat. But as I said it the pieces fell together. "Oh, I get it. You're gay."

Scott looked up surprised. "What, no! I have a girlfriend."

"You do?" I asked and felt even more left out. He scratched the back of his head and looked down the road. I followed his gaze and saw a familiar jeep pull up. Scott grabbed my arm kinda harsh and pulled me towards the car.

"Take Rosemary home." He said and opened the door for me.

"What? No. I finally got you talking." I fake pouted. Scott laughed and closed the door behind me.

"I'll tell you everything when I get home." He promised. I nodded still kind of pissed off and Stiles drove off. It was quiet for a few seconds until Stiles phone went off. He put it against his ear and started talking. I zoned out after that. Stiles' talking was nice background music to me as I thought about my life back in Alabama and what I would be doing if my parents weren't dead. I'd probably be hanging out with Austin. Maybe going to the abandoned water tower and talk about random stuff. I kind of missed that, those easy talks with him. He was a fun person to be around.

"Rosemary?" Stiles asked and looked at me worryingly.

"What?" I answered a bit sharper then I intended to.

"I just got a call from my dad." He said and took a turn away from my house. "They found new evidence in your families case. Do you want to go to the police station?"

I nodded absently and looked out the window again. Well, that sure killed my fantasy.
