* Three months later *

I looked out of the window from the cab I was in together with Nikki.  For the last few months she has been around me a lot. I got psychological treatments to help dealing with the death of my parents and I can honestly say that I don't feel differently at all. I just said I was doing better since I could get out of that awful foster home.

"I already informed your family on your state, They know that you're still dealing with grief. But of course they are happy to meet you for the first time" Nikki said and smiled at me.

She smiles a lot, And with a lot I mean after everything she says.

"I'm happy to see them as well" I said. I looked at my phone and saw another text from Austin.

Austin: Text me when you arrive there, I want to know all the dirt.

I held back a laugh and put my phone away. We drove past some houses which was a nice view after 3 hours of highway. A few kids were playing outside with a ball and chasing each other. The driver slowed down a bit once we drove through more neighbourhoods.

"Don't be too nervous okay" Nikki said. I nodded quickly and was wondering if any of these houses belonged to my actual parents.

What if they don't like me at all? They could send me away and then I'd have to go back to that foster home. And I do not want to go back there. There are always children crying throughout the night so you can never sleep and it smells horrible. Not even discussing the amount of food you get. Which is obviously not enough to feed a teenage girl.

I mean I need my chocolate.

The car stopped in a quiet neighbourhood. There weren't any kids playing outside but the houses were relatively big. They had about the same size as my old one.

No time to think about the past. It's time to meet the future.

I opened the door and stepped outside. Nikki had already gotten my backpack from the trunk and handed it to me. she smiled at me and placed her hand on my shoulder, Guiding me to the front door. The door opened before I was even near it and revealed a woman. She had black curly hair that fell just a little above her shoulders. She ran towards us and hugged me tightly. I stiffened. I'm not very familiar with hugs.

Everyone always knew I didn't like physical contact.

She let go of me and grabbed my shoulders, Eyeing me up and down. She smiled at me. When she reached my eyes.

"You grew up so much!" She said.

Well I was sort of a baby when you gave me away.

Stop it Rosemary! Focus for fucks sake!

I smiled awkwardly not really knowing what to do.

"Here I'll show you the rest of our family" She said and dragged me inside. Immediately after the front door was a small hall. In there stood a tall man with brown hair. He didn't immediately went for the hug.

"Hello Rosemary" He said and offered to shake his hand.

"Oh come on" My... mom said "Give the girl a hug" He awkwardly hugged me and thank god let go after a few seconds.

They all walked into what I guess is the living room and I doubtingly followed them. In the living room were more people then I expected. Well, to be honest I did only expect to see my brother. I didn't knew these were kind of occasions where you invite people.

"Sorry, Scott had a little friend emergency" My mom said

not comfortable enough to call her mom... yet.
