"Wait, I don't get it." I repeated for the hundredth time. Scott sighed loudly and laid down on Stiles' bed. Stiles whoever sat up straight and pointed at the chess pieces in front of us.

"That piece over there is Scott. He's an werewolf." He pointed at the king piece. Which seemed a little bit too much for me.

"And he got bitten by Peter?" I finished. Stiles nodded and pointed at another piece.

"Who is the uncle of Derek." He said and pointed at one of the horses. Stiles saw the confused look on my face and waited patiently for my question.

"But they are nearly the same age?" I asked. Stiles shrugged and answered.

"Weird family."

The rest of the afternoon I learned all about the werewolves, kitsunes and banshees. And by the end of it I half understood. Everything was a little bit difficult for me to understand because well, I hadn't even met half of them. It felt weird knowing one of their secrets.

"So that guy at the police station was a werewolf as well?" I asked. Scott nodded and yawned. I looked over at the clock and saw that it was passed midnight. But I was still wide awake. I wanted to know and learn more. Stiles seemed eager to tell me everything.

"But why can't I be near Liam then?" I asked. I saw Scott tens up just by the mention of his name, which only intrigued me more.

"Liam is kind of new to the werewolf thing." Stiles answered before Scott could and gave him one of his 'shut up' looks. "So he's not really reliable yet, if you did anything to anger him he might attack you."

I nodded, but I still felt like I was missing a piece of the puzzle. "And you're a regular human?" I asked Stiles. He looked kind of insulted at me.

"Well not 'regular' I mean I was possessed for some time." He said trying to sound cool.

"Well yeah, but not anymore right?" I asked. A light snoring came from Stiles' bed. I looked over to see my brother, sleeping peacefully. It looked absolutely adorable, especially now that I know that he's actually a killer dog.

"Try to stay out of this as much as you can okay?" Stiles whispered and leaned across the table closer to me. "It's dangerous, and Scott doesn't want you die."

"Well the freak is after me." I answered and leaned my elbows on the table. "I mean, you heard him talk to me right? The guy is nuts."

"You sure you don't know him? It seemed like you did." Stiles said and stretched his arms.

"I honestly don't know, his voice sounded familiar." I answered. "I can't really place it though."

Stiles stood up and walked over to a board, it looked like it was made out of glass. I've been staring at it for quite some time now because it looked odd in the small room. Stiles grabbed a white pencil and wrote down 'attack on police station' Then he drew a line and wrote down my name.

"What you think I did it?" I laughed. Stiles shook his head and continued writing.

"No, but it's related to you." He answered. He also wrote down a list of the people that got injured at the police station. I had no idea it were so many.

"Did any of them die?" I whispered. Stiles shook his head.

"Everyone lived with minor injuries." He said. I felt a little bit more relieved until I heard a small tic on the glass. My mind instantly went to the crazy dude from the police station. But Stiles simply opened the window and allowed Derek and Peter to climb in.

"We lost his scent a few miles north of the river." Peter instantly said. He looked around the room and his eyes fell on me. I never felt more uncomfortable, there was something about Peter. Whether or not it was the look in his eyes or the weird smile on his lips, he made me feel terribly miss placed.

"Well hello there Rosemary," He said on what I thought was a very creepy tone. "How are the legs?"

"Still healing." I responded and looked over at my crutches that were standing in the corner of the room. Scott woke up and yawned, switching Peter's attention to him.

"We lost his scent." He repeated. Scott nodded and stood up. He was about the same height as Derek, only Peter was slightly taller then him.

"Well then I told you already what the plan is." He said. They nodded and sat down on Stiles' bed and stiles' chair. I waited for someone to explain the plan to me but everyone just started staring at their hands.

"Which is?" I hinted.

"Protect you." He simply answered.

"Protect me as in I get guard dogs around me 24/7?" I asked finally getting why Derek and Peter didn't leave. Scott nodded like it was the most normal thing in the world and got out his phone and started texting someone.

"I also texted Isaac but he hasn't responded yet." Scott said to Stiles totally ignoring me. Stiles nodded and wrote down a list of every friend they had and started writing what looked like a schedule.

"Scott. Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked and got my crutches to walked out of the room. I stopped in the hallway because I realized I just learned that werewolves have great hearing, so great that they can literally hear my heartbeat. "Whats a safe hearing distance?"

We walked outside of the house to Stiles' jeep. Scott leaned against it and looked at me with confused eyes, waiting for me to start.

"Can you explain what the plan exactly is? Because right now I am very confused." I asked trying not to immediately freak out.

"Well, we were thinking that when you're asleep one of us takes a night shift and look over you to make sure that he isn't there. And at school Isaac, Kira and me will keep you safe." He answered.

"Why would any of your friends do that for me?" I asked and crossed my arms because of the cold. "I don't even know half of them."

"You're family." He simply stated. It gave me a warm feeling inside, like I wasn't totally hollow like I thought I was. Scott saw my change of mood and stepped forward to hug me. For the first time since my parents died, I hugged back.
