When I woke up the golden rays of early morning shined through the window. Ethan was still asleep, he slept very silently. I quietly got up and went into the bathroom. I washed my face and then looked into the mirror. I'm going to meet my dad today, I'm going with Ethan, and I haven't changed my clothes since I first arrived at Ms. Rose's place. I wonder how she's doing, she's probably really upset that I left her place. when I leave the bathroom I see Ethan awake and getting up off the bed. " Good morning Ethan, sorry if I woke you up. I tried to be quiet."
He stood up and walked towards me, kind of stiff like." Nah, it's fine. I got up on my own, I usually wake up this early." I laugh at this, it's some what fake but I wanted to lighten the air for myself.
"Well, Mr. Early Bird, it's 9:30 am if that's really early." We both laugh at this really hard as if we told the funniest joke on the planet. It felt nice to finally laugh and not fake it. Eventually Ethan went to get changed and by 10 o'clock we were off to find Dad. When we left the hotel we had to check out because we didn't have enough money to continue to stay at such an expensive place. I knew exactly where Dad was today and who he is. He is Kyle Charles and he is an actor. Not a super well known one like all them super stars, he's just one who is a back round character usually. Well anyways, he get's paid big time so he lives in a super classy apartment with his wife and two kids. Kyle (Dad) lives with his family on Allen St. I tell Ethan all of this as we walk in the direction of Allen St.
After I said all of this Ethan sighed." So he didn't want you as a kid but then he turns around, get's married to another lady, and had two kids. How does that make sense? Why didn't he just keep you and your mom?" I shook my head.
"I'm not sure why, we are almost to his apartment so be prepared. I'm not sure how positive he will act to finding out about a daughter that he abandoned and that the woman he loved once is now dead. I 'm not sure how he is going to act, especially since I have never met him." We continued to walk in silence, once we made it to Allen St. I began to regret going threw all of this. What if he calls the cops on me? What if he hurts me or Ethan? As we walk up the stairs of the apartment building each foot step seemed to be farther and farther apart as if time were slowing down. Thud, thud, thud, thud as my feet step from step to step. We find the door. I lift my hand to the door and knock.
