As we each try to enjoy our breakfast I eventually cannot stand the silence. I look him straight in the eyes and say " I'm sorry, but it's time to talk. I had a nightmare about Rose, OK? And I'm sorry but I can never go back. But you live across the street from her. I cannot keep you away from home forever, you need to go. Home. Now!"

Ethan sighs. " Taylor, I cannot go there. If you won't go back, I won't either. I will never leave you as long as you let me hang around. So how about we get out of here and go find a place to stay the night?" He smiles and we leave I Hop.

"Wait. Ethan, we cannot afford to rent out anywhere. We've got-" I look in my bag to count how much. 1,2,4, ugh. "56 cents. That's it. That's not enough to even get a drink from a vending machine!" He laughs.

"Well I saw a help wanted sign at I Hop and there is a help wanted sign there at that gas station. Choose, I Hop or gas station?" I laugh. He says some of the worst things at the wrong time. Which is hilarious!

" Well I guess I will take the gas station. Enjoy food stains on your clothes all the time!" I laugh so much I was afraid I was gonna throw up my breakfast. He looks at me and shakes his head.

" Well I will enjoy that then. Be right back, I'm gonna go apply at I Hop." He kisses me on the cheek and walks back towards I Hop. Not weird at all that he kissed me on the cheek. As I walk towards the lame gas station, which is better than the clothes staining I Hop, I begin to think how they're even going to give me a job. I'm only 17 and I haven't graduated high school yet and I probably never will if my situation doesn't change. Well hopefully everything goes good and I don't loose this employment chance since I need it, dearly.
