As we continued to talk with Kyle we learned more and more about who Rose is. Eventually it got too late for us to both them and we left. But before we walked out the door Ethan just had to say "Taylor, we can't go back to a hotel room we don't have. Plus we don't have enough cash to go get a room anyways." SERIOUSLY ETHAN!!!!!!!
Mrs. Charles then feels bad and says " Well why don't you stay here tonight? We have a couch that you two can sleep on. It's a pull out couch so it will be just like a bed. Do you mind that? I hope not. It's all we can offer really." OK, well now we have a new place to stay. We are going to stay in the home of my father and his new family, yay.
As the night goes on, the more and more weird I feel about 1 sleeping in my dad's house who was never there and 2 sleeping next to Ethan. And when I finally do fall asleep all I see is Rose as a creepy murderous lady trying to kill me. I woke up from this when I felt someone shaking me awake. It was Ethan, and he looked worried. That's when I noticed I was sweating and shaking. "I'm fine." I quickly whisper, even though me and my sweaty shaky don't agree on this.
Ethan grabs my shoulders,"You aren't alright, unless you always scream in your sleep. What did you see in your dream, unless if you classify it as a nightmare." He stares deep into my eyes with his heart piercing blue eyes. My brown eyes stare back at him, no effect really on him. We sit there for what feels like forever until the sun comes up and then Kyle comes out. We finally look away from each other. Eventually the whole family comes out, Kyle's wife makes breakfast, and Ethan and I leave instead of eating with them. We go to I-Hop and we eat in silence, either of us try to start a conversation. While we eat, I think about this morning when he woke me up from my nightmare. Does he care about me as his friend or are him and I closer than that?
