Cameron's P.O.V.

The Evanya girl, I met yesterday was kind of unique. Not only did she have her own distinct or uncommon personality which separates her from the entire crowd of girls, but also she was not falling on my feet or worshipping the ground that I walked on.

She didn't mind the fact that I was the school's mightiest heartthrob and treated me the way I want to be treated, like a normal Human Being who do not has to care about what others think about him/her.  She was definitely the type of person I would like to keep in contact with.

She reminded a little about Melanie, with whom I do not have to pretend to be someone else, and also the way she addressed me as The Cameron Grey.

I knew Evanya, as all the other jocks of the football team constantly make fun of her, but I hate making fun of others due to the way they dress or their studying preferences.

They should be judged for their personality. In fact, that was the main reason behind me talking to her and asking for her introduction. The more I talked to her, the more I wanted to know more or just get to spend time with her. She would be a great and promising friend, I could tell.

Anyways, back to the current situation, I am sitting in my English class right now, bored out of my mind and the teacher is currently blabbering about some group English project that we have to work on, and is going to be marked for our monthly assessment.

I don't pay much attention to the fact until the bell rings and she says “I will be deciding your partners. The pairs will be told tomorrow. The class is dismissed.”

I quickly rush out of the classroom, towards the cafeteria and sit at my normal table with my friend Jackson, Ashley and the other football team members and cheerleaders.

Jackson and I have been buddies since the time when we were in diapers. His parents and mine are family friends, so that's how we met. He has Blond hair, blue eyes and you know, the typical football player's body. He is the second most popular guy of the school and my best friend. And Ashley has been my friend since 5, when she shifted to my neighbouring house.

Ever since then, I, Jackson and Ashley have been best pals.

Ashley has red hair and striking hazel eyes. She is the student council president and is highly intelligent. She is beautiful and has every guy falling at her feet. But I think she secretly has a crush on Jackson. I mean they both are madly in love with each other, which by the way is pretty obvious, but are too scared to confess their liking for each other.

Anyways, everyone was having a smooth conversation. The cheerleaders were talking about how excited they were for the Prom that was two weeks from now and about what they were going to be wearing and their makeup and all the other stuff that girls bicker about. Everything was just fine except the occasional flirty comments from Serena, the head cheerleader, that were directed towards me. I swear she doesn’t get the message that I have not the least bit of interest in her or she is a complete dumb-head, either way I have developed a strong sense of disliking towards her, and try to avoid her at all costs.

Evanya's P.O.V

There was a lot of exhilaration in the corridors, as I entered the school. The girls were squeaking with excitement about something. I wonder what?

Of course, I received the frequent rude or annoying stares, but I have got used to the disapproval of the people or their disliking towards me. Without the hatred everything seems wrong or weird now, anyway you put it.

Soon, I found the answer to my questions, when I saw the poster with words SENIOR PROM written in bold across it. The theme is going to be “Fairytales”.  I kept staring at the poster for a good 2 minutes, thinking about what they found so interesting about this. It happens almost every year. Girls dress up in fancy clothes and plaster make up on their faces, in order to impress their dates or in hope of winning the ‘Best Dressed’ award. The Best Dressed award has been a speciality to our school. It was given to a pair that was dressed the best out of the lot.

I saw Emily motioning towards me with her hand to come towards her and I went.

“Hey!” she cooed with excitement, to which I replied with a monotonous “ Hi”. She either didn't notice my lack of enthusiasm or she decided to ignore it either way she was in a very happy mood and I certainly did not want to spoil it.

“So, are you at least coming to the prom this year?” I without much thought to the answer said

“As always. No. It's really not my scene.”

A frown etched across Emily's face on cue to my words and she said “Please, please, please at least this year you have to come, this is the last year of our school and we got to do something to make it memorable.” Using that adorable puppy dog face of hers which was hard to say no to, but I was an exception as they say, I was a tough nut to crack.

“Never am I going to come at an event, where I have to dress up like a princess and wear makeup and all that girly stuff”

She didn't push me any further as she knew I am very hard to convince. After that we diverted our ways and I went for my first period class, English.

You know That Cliché scene in the movies where the actor and actress are lost in their own little world, and end up colliding with each other. Yeah, you got that right. Now, just replace the actor and actress by some guy and me. I was heading to my Chemistry class, and Bang!. I had managed to run into Someone's stone hard chest. I looked at the culprit's face and meet those same beautiful green eyes, which are hard to look away from. I quickly gather up, all my stuff that had fallen to the floor.

“ Sorry! I didn't see where I was heading. Someone was there on my mind. I am really Sorry. Oh! It's you. Evanya right?. Nice to see you”. While saying those words, he simultaneously helps me to collect the books and sheets that had dropped on the floor.

“ It's perfectly fine. It was my fault too. I didn't see where I was heading. Sorry. And Yeah I am Evanya, that diner girl. It was nice seeing you too”

I quickly rushed from that place of commotion. Confusion was probably the last emotion I had seen on his adorable face. I couldn't risk anyone seeing us together, and with him helping him, it would have landed both of us in trouble. Our collision had already managed to turn a few heads, I couldn't risk any more people knowing about it.

Suddenly, my gut feeling was telling me something else. Something I feared from day one.

You will be experiencing many more unexpected collisions in the future.’

With that, I rushed towards class, for which I had already managed to be late.
