A whole year has come and gone. The new year has finally arrived. Everyone was laughing, drinking, enjoying the festivities of the coming year. (Reindeer are so happy that they only work one day of the year!)
"Comet, whaddaya think Santa would say if he found out about us?" Rudy asked, holding his boyfriend's hand.
Comet smiled and shook his head. "I think he would be pissed. But I don't know exactly."
They cuddled closer as a colorful heart shape exploded in the night sky.
"Comet... I love you."
"I love you too, Rudy..."
They closed the night with a long kiss.
Meanwhile...
Someone behind them in a bush watched the whole thing.
"So cute..." she whispered. She passed through the bush and looked at their facial expressions. They didn't notice. Nobody ever noticed her presence. She tried to hug Rudy, but her arms just passed through him like water, making him shudder.
"What's wrong, Rudy?" Comet asked.
"I dunno... I thought someone touched me..."
Glimmering tears fell from her eyes. One would say they're beautiful, if they could be seen by the naked eye.
"I miss you... Big brother..."
