"Well... Here we go..."
Rudy walked into Santa's office.
"Hohoho! Rudolph! What brings you here?"
Rudy put his fingers together. "I have something to tell you... I dunno if Comet already has..."
Santa stroked his long, white beard. "You two are in a relationship, right?"
Rudy nodded nervously. "Y-yeah."
Santa gave a tiny chuckle and patted Rudy's head.
He was confused. Usually, homosexuality of any kind was not to be tolerated. So why is Santa Claus not upset about it?
"Santa?"
"Yes, Rudolph?"
"You're not... Angry?"
"Well, of course not! Why would I be?"
"Well... I thought homosexual acts weren't tolerable."
Santa did his signature laugh and sat Rudy on his lap. Rudy felt warm and comfortable, like an actual kid at Christmas.
"Rudolph, let me tell you something. I love each and every little boy and girl in the world. Homosexual, straight, bisexual, whatever. I don't believe in discrimination of any kind. So, the fact that you and Comet are in a relationship doesn't bother me one bit."
Rudy looked at Santa and smiled. "Santa... Thank you."
Santa ruffled Rudy's fur. "You're welcome, Rudolph."
Rudy jumped off from Santa's lap and walked to the door. He looked back and smiled.
"Thanks again, Santa." He walked out.
Santa grabbed his lists and scanned them.
After a few minutes, Santa stopped and looked behind him. The ghostly figure of Claire was watching, smiling cutely.
"Claire, which list should Tommy be on?"
"How am I s'posed to know, big guy?" Claire giggled. "Aren't you the one who, 'Sees them when they're sleeping?'"
"Hohoho! You have a fine point there, Claire."
