Quinn's POV:
"Hey Quinn," Cara called as she walked into our dorm. I looked up from my biology notes when she came in. Her dark hair was tied up in a pony tail and her face was red and blotchy because she just came back from soccer practice. Cara was like the perfect person. She was athletic, kind, beautiful, and she had perfect grades. She had been my roommate for the past 2 years at NYU and Cara was pretty much my closest friend.
"How was practice?" I asked, as she flopped down on her bed.
"Rough," she said with a laugh, "I need to go get a shower." She got up and headed to our bathroom, and I returned to cramming for my biology test. After 3 hours of studying, I was super hungry so Cara and I went to grab some food from our favorite café on campus. I glanced out the window and saw a guy in a dark hoodie standing by the side of the café. I brushed it off and continued eating, but when I looked out the window again, he was gone.
"Um, Q..." Cara said as she put her fork down slowly, "is it just me or is that guy giving you the creeps?" she subtly gestured behind me and I turned around to look. It was the guy from outside, and his hood was still up.
"Omg he was just outside," I said, "do you think he's watching us?"
"I can't tell, you can't see his face," Cara said nervously.
"I think we should get out of here", I said. Cara nodded in agreement and we got up quietly, hoping not to make a scene. I looked back as we went out the door to make sure the guy wasn't following us. He was still sitting at his table. It was already dark and the campus was empty so Cara and I walked home as fast as possible. Little did we know, we weren't alone.
