Quinn's POV:
When we got to the airport, I saw Leo sitting on a bench near the terminal. As we walked toward him, Luke tried to grab my hand. I yanked my hand away and looked at Luke.
"What are you doing?" I snapped, raising my eyebrows at him.
"Touchy," he said, holding his hands up in the air, "Sorry I tried," he laughed and continued walking. I huffed and sat down next to Leo in frustration.
"Hey," he said inquisitively, "rough morning?" He placed his hand on my knee and I looked up at him.
"Oh, no, I'm fine," I said, shifting my leg away from him, "I'm just anxious to get back to campus." Leo nodded and was silent until they announced that our plane was boarding.
"Now boarding flight 207 to New York City, New York," a nasally woman said over the intercom. Leo passed out our tickets and we got in line to get on the plane. As we boarded, Leo directed us towards the first class section. I looked down at my ticket to find my seat, 3A. I glanced at Leo's ticket from the corner of my eye and saw he was sitting in the seat next to me. We took our seats and Luke sat next to us.
"Dude, that's not your seat," Leo said to Luke, ripping his ticket out of his hand, "You sit in 1E." Leo pointed towards the back of the cabin. Luke snatched his ticket back and glared at Leo as he trudged to he seat. I could feel Luke's angry stare burning into the backs of our heads.
"Did you make him sit there on purpose when you ordered the tickets?" I questioned Leo, who looked a little too proud of himself. His straight face crawled into a smile.
"Maybe," he said, smugly. I shook my head at him.
"Why would you do that, now he's all alone," I said, glancing back at Luke sympathetically.
"I have a weird feeling about that guy, I don't trust him," Leo explained. This sounded all too familiar. Didn't I just have this same conversation with Luke about Leo?
"He's a good guy," I said defensively, "He went all this way to make sure I'm okay, and he didn't even know me that well."
"That's my point," Leo said, "What do we actually know about him?" This was some serious deja vu.
"Just don't worry about him, okay?" I said, trying to reassure Leo, "He's here to help." Leo dropped the subject and looked out the window. We were still waiting for the plane to take off when I heard a weird sound from the carry on section above us. I reached up and got my bag. I pulled out Cara's laptop and opened it up. I noticed a notification on the screen, with Leo looking over my shoulder.
"That's weird," I said, "there's a new email," I clicked on the notification on the desktop and Cara's email opened up. I looked and saw that the email address was the same untraceable email from the other day. Leo and I glanced at each other as we read the email, "You better watch out," is all the email said. I craned my head and looked back at Luke to see if he noticed Leo and I on the computer, but he had his nose in the complimentary magazines. Leo reached over and took the computer out of my lap, but just then, the stewardess made an announcement. "Could all passengers please turn off any electronics and fasten their seat belts, we will be taking off shortly." I tucked Cara's laptop back into my bag and replaced it in the carry on. The plane took off and I couldn't help but fear the worst.
