Quinn's POV:
I woke up the next morning at 8 o'clock and I immediately knew something wasn't right. Cara wasn't in her bed but all the lights were still off in our dorm. I got up and looked around, but the only thing out of place was Cara's hairbrush on the bathroom floor which wasn't really unusual. I figured she must be out doing some early-morning soccer training because her first class today wasn't until 10. I texted her just to make sure she was alright, after our encounter with the guy in the hood at the café.
"Hey where are you?" the text read. I shut off my phone, continued getting ready, and headed off to my biology class.

Cara's POV:
I woke up in a room I didn't recognize. Suddenly, I remembered the guy in the hood from last night. I looked around, there was a single lightbulb right above me and the rest of the room was dark. I was sitting in what felt like a folding chair, and my hands and feet were tied together. From what I could make out in the dim light, it was a small room, with grey cinder block walls and a cement floor. I couldn't see any windows, but there was a door and short set of stairs to my left. All of a sudden, the room was flooded with light, and the guy in the hood walked in.
"Good morning, Cara," he said with a smirk, "did you sleep well?"
"Where am I?" I demanded, furrowing my brow. Before he could give me an answer, my phone went off. I tried to reach for my phone but I couldn't get to it with my hands tied up.
"Don't worry, I'll get that for you," he said as he reached into my back pocket and grabbed my phone. "It's a message from Quinn. 'Where are you?' it says."
"Give me my phone," I said through the gritted teeth.
"Well, we wouldn't want her to worry about you. I'll just tell her you had a family emergency." I saw him typing and once he sent the message he dropped my phone and stomped on it.
"No!" I shrieked as I started to cry. He lifted his foot, and my phone was crushed.
"Don't be a baby," he growled as he leaned in towards me, "this will all be over soon, if you cooperate."
"What do you want from me?" I asked, tears still running down my face.
"You'll see," he said as he walked out of the room, leaving me in the dark.
