Emery's P.O.V

Will stared at me, still wondering what I meant. I averted my vision to my arms, they were still healing but I had to get out, I just didn't want to feel handicapped anymore.

I got up, swung my legs over the bed, and stood. I winced and closed my eyes and felt the pain in my arms. Will stood up from his chair and aided me.

"You can't leave! You're not healed yet," He held me there and brought me into a hug. "Besides, we still need to have someone admit you out." He said, then someone walked in.

Nico smiled at me and walked over. He looked at Will, silently asking if I could be discharged. He sighed and helped me get to Nico.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to get you clothes from your cabin, if that's ok with you?" Will seemed kind of embarrassed about it and I let him. What? I need clothes.

Nico caressed my hands and sat me back down. "I registered you to live in a nearby apartment by your college. They approved you and you can move in as soon as possible." He said silently, his eyes were locked on mine.

Please don't leave me. Don't fly away from me again, please. I flinched, did I just read his mind? No. I couldn't have.

I closed my eyes and created a water bubble, only our heads were in it. His eyes widened, he thought I was gonna drown him. He relaxed.

"Will you stop time?" He asked.

I raised a brow. I tilted my head, confused by his words.

"No?" I asked, not really a statement.

He held his forehead to mine, that's when I saw them. His eyes. They were desperate, lonely, pleading? I gasped and backed away. He was crying.

I popped the water bubble and hugged him. Despite the pain I felt in my arms it hurt worse to see him cry. He trembled in my arms.

"Don't leave Emery. Please, please don't leave me." He sobbed. I held him tighter, afraid that if I let go then he'll leave and fly away. Like a butterfly.

That's what we are, our relationship. We're like butterflies. We stay together in one place but we like to be everywhere, but remain the same. We'll always be together no matter how far or close we are.

"Shhh, it's ok. I won't leave you Neeks. I promise." I said and he nodded into my shoulder. I started humming Butterfly by BTS. He eventually calmed down and stayed like that, head on my shoulder, arms around my waist.

It felt weird being short. Sure Nico is short but compared to me, he's tall. So I had to stand on my toes, while hugging him. I played with his hair and we swayed side to side.

After it seemed like forever, Will came back in. He had a bloody fist and hand printed on his face in red. I put Nico on the bed and aided Will.

I started searching for towels to clean the blood and summoned some water. It floated next to be, ready to be used.

"What the Hades happened to you?!" I asked as I cleaned him up.

"I got in a fight." Was all he said.

I scoffed. "Obviously. Who did you fight and why?" I asked.

He didn't say anything. I pulled a chair and sat directly in front of him. I had the water next to me and held it front of me.

"Drink it."

He did. His eyes widened and I stared into them.

I fought some Aphrodite boys. They were talking about you. I couldn't stand it and they were spreading rumors about you and how you've been missing for a few days. Saying that you went to find more people to play.
