The Cottage ~*~ 1 Year Later

Chapter 18

I woke up the next day and did my morning routine and got dressed in a teal tank, grey and black striped sweater, blue skinny jeans, and beige uggs. I did my make up and got my purse ready. Fred was already awake before me and was waiting in the living room.

I walked into the kitchen and got some fruit for myself

‘How are we this morning my love?’ I heard Fred say behind me

‘Good actually, I feel happy’ I turned around and wrapped my arms around him

‘Are you ready to go soon’ I kiss him and he kissed back.

‘Yeah just let me have some fruit and will go’ I release him and got my fruit put in a bowl.

I was apparated to a cottage; my parents cottage I recognized the pictures on the fireplace

‘Fred you took me to the family cottage!’ I yelled feeling overwhelmed with happiness

‘I wanted us to get away from everything’ he took me to the lake which was located inKelownaB.C. I walked to the waters edge and just sat looking over at the mountains

‘Serena I want to ask you something’ Fred sounded serious

‘Why what’s going on?’ I asked alarmed

‘Serenity Luna Wood the first time I saw you I fell for you fast and hard. I know we’ve had our fights and troubles but we got through them. I don’t want to live another day without you, I know were young but were young and in love. Serenity Luna Wood would you do the honor in marrying me’ Fred pulled out a ring, my mothers ring.

I started to tear up

‘Love what’s wrong?’ Fred asked puzzled

‘Fred I would love to marry you!’ I yelled and gave him the most passionate kiss I could

‘You make me the happiest guy alive Serena’ he said kissing back.

That week we spent a lot of time at the cottage watching movies and listening to music. I couldn’t wait to be married to Fred.

I was apart of the air attacks with my brother, we took down most of the Death Eaters that were here. I was still engaged to Fred, I returned back to Hogwarts and graduated. Also apart of the Order helping to defend and protect Harry Potter, he disappeared after Bill and Fleur’s wedding when it was attacked by Death Eaters.

I arrived in the castle battling Death Eaters as they came. I made it to the Great Hall and found many dead, a lot were Voldemort followers. I haven’t seen Fred for a couple months now and I was worried he may have died

‘HARRY POTTER HAS FALLEN! I heard a dark voice say.

We were defeated, Harry lost. I went out side to see people crowed on one side and the Death Eaters on the other and in the middle was Voldemort. Next thing I knew Harry got up from the ground and killed Voldemort, I was in a daze. I didn’t really know what was happening for those moments, I knew that Luna was leading me out to the Great Hall to get cleaned up, my shoulder was partly charred away from a spell, and I sat with my brother just leaning on him.

‘How are you doing?’ he asked looking at the shoulder that was getting cleaned

‘I don’t know, I haven’t seen anyone since the battle, they all just mold together’ I shrugged

‘You know mother would be proud of you, you were so brave out there’ I looked at my burnt fingers

‘You know father would be proud of you to, you did great in leading the air attacks’ I laughed leaning into him.

I sat there just thinking about everything, I seen Lavender gets killed and so many dead bodies that I don’t know who was who. I was drinking some hot chocolate that Pomphery passed around

‘Serenity’ I heard my name and looked up to see Harry

‘Hey, I missed you all’ I got up and gave Harry a hug

‘Percy died protecting Fred in an attack. Fred’s wondering were you are’ he whispered.

I started to cry a bit for Percy but also because Fred didn’t die and I was happy

‘I was helping with air attacks with Oliver and got injured but other than that I’m here’ I laughed

‘Come one I’ll bring you to everyone’ Harry took my hand and led me to the other side of the room.

My top was basically destroyed but covered my breasts. I seen the Weasleys crying over Percy’s body

‘I found a stray wondering with her sibling’ Harry said, they looked up and stared at me

‘I’m sorry to hear about Percy, he was a great guy’ I said trying not to choke up.

I found Fred crying and George smiling like he found the most awesome prank ever

‘Serena…your alive’ Fred whispered walking over to me

‘What you don’t think I’m a fighter. Those Death Eaters didn’t see what was coming when I came’ I said trying to lighten the mood

‘I missed you so much, when I didn’t see you anywhere I assumed you were dead’ he whispered picking me up in a hug which I gave back

‘I’m here Fred and now we can be together like we planned’ I said whispering in his ear.

‘I know love and I can’t wait’ he set me down and gave me a kiss that felt like he finally found what he was looking for.

We turned to everyone and Fred held out my hand to show my still shining engagement ring

‘Oh I’m so happy for you kids’ Molly said giving me a hug and the same with Fred

‘Welcome to the family!’ Everyone yelled at us and I felt my cheeks burn up

‘Yay you’re going to be my sister!’ Ginny yelled giving me a hug

‘I know right I still can’t believe it’ I said smiling.

I was finally Serenity Fred Weasley we were at the reception and we were talking to everyone there as they came up to congratulate us.

My maid of honor Anne was my maid of honor and my bridesmaids were Hermione, Ginny, and Luna. Josh and Viktor came to the wedding and I heard from Josh that Anne and Viktor were engaged to be married and that Josh had his eye on Luna.

I was happy to have everyone I loved at the wedding; I didn’t have anyone walk me down the isle because I felt that I couldn’t. I had everyone I was friends with from school at the wedding and same with Fred.

If you told me in my 5th year that I was going to marry my best friend I would have told you to go to the hospital wing and get your head checked because I would have thought you lost your marbles.

I can’t wait for my life to start with Fred, I knew now were my life would be and it would be with my husband. No matter what kind of obstacles our life takes us I want to go through them with my family and friends.

I can’t believe that I’m pretty well done with this story I’m sad but yet happy and I want to thank each and every one of you who read from the start to the end.

I know it started out a bit crappy but I think as I went on it got much better. Thanks for giving me this chance to share this story with you all
