"OHMIGOD! ALEX!" Melissa, my energetic best friend, yelled from down the hall.

I laughed, continuing to put books into my locker. Melissa always had something to talk about every day. There was always some big news that she knew about, and she always made sure to tell me.

"You'll never guess what happened!" She squealed once she reached my locker.

"You saw a flying goat!?" I asked excitedly. She pursed her lips, shaking her head. "Oh, damn... That sucks. What could be better than a flying goat?"

"What if I told you that I found out what Aiden got you for your anniversary?" She said, grinning.

My eyes lit up. Aiden Daniels is my boyfriend, has been since freshman year, and possibly the best guy to walk the face of the earth. He's sweet, funny, and amazing. Did I mention that he's also totally hot? Whoops. Must've slipped my mind.

"Okay, fine, you caught me. What'd he get me!?" I asked excitedly, smiling at her.

"I... Am not supposed to tell you! But I saw it... And it's gorgeous!" She gushed, grinning.

"Well... I guess that'll do for now," I said with a shrug, although I was a bit disappointed. I've been trying to figure out what Aiden got me for the past three weeks, and I still have no idea what it is. Apparently, it's more than just an object, but that's all I've been able to find out. Our entire group of friends knows about it, excluding me, and suddenly, they're all being excellent secret-keepers.

I felt someone tap my shoulder, and I turned around. Instantly, a pair of lips met my own, and I felt my heart skip beats. Once I pulled away, I had the biggest grin on my face ever.

"Well, hello there, Aiden," I said, my arms around his neck.

"Hey, beautiful," He said, kissing me once again.

"Oh, brother... We're in a hallway, people!" Melissa said from next to us. I laughed, shutting my locker closed once I had gathered all my books.

"You know you do the exact same thing with Mark," I said, rolling my eyes.

She squeaked and turned red. "Alex!" She whined. I laughed, locking hands with Aiden as we began making our way to our first class.

"I can't believe it's our last day of school!" Melissa said happily.

Yep, it was the day before summer vacation started. I couldn't wait for this summer. It was going to be perfect. Aiden and I were going to spend practically every day together, going to amusement parks and carnivals in the beautiful state of California. We were lucky enough to live here, and to go to one of the best schools in the county.
