Clouded Mind

Jakes POV
I take a gash of flesh out of the hunters arm. He screams. While sending off shots from his gun. I feel blood trickling down my back. And then I feel searing pain. I've been shot?

Which only angers my wolf even more. My wolf takes over. I look at the hunter who is no longer the hunter, but my father! My wolf jumps for his throat. I knock him to the ground which caught him off guard. He gasps.

I bite down as hard as I can on his neck. Then I yank my head back in forth. This is for taking my mate! This is for making my life hell! "Jake?" I hear her Ann. "Ann?!" My vision starts to blur. No, no! I can't pass out. "Ann?!" I scream. Pain shoots though my body. I blackout. My wolf whines.

Blake's POV

I see Jake's wolf form ripping a mans throat out. What's he doing? Jake I try to mind link him. I notice his own blood covers his fur. I notice he whines. But his wolf keeps ripping at the mans throat.

I hear him mutter father, father. What's up with him. Then I notice the gun beside Jake and the man. He was a hunter. Hunting is illegal here? At least that's what I thought. Jake I try to mind link him again with no luck. But then he turns and faces me. "Ann!" He keeps yelling.

He starts to stumble backwards before finally blacking out. I mind link the packs Doctor. Telling her everything before summoning the other wolves. I pick Jakes wolf form up running as fast as I can to the pack house.

I leave the hunters body behind. We'll have to deal with that later. Daniel opens the front door for me. I nod my head in thanks. I make it to the hospital room and I lay his wolf body on a bed in the room before turning around and seeing lee-lee the packs Doctor. Her eyes widen.

"What happened to Alpha Jake?!" She screeches before moving to the bed where he lays. "I'm not completely sure, I found him ripping a mans throat out. I believe he was a hunter." She nods her head. Then she runs her hand along Jakes fur. "He's been shot!" I can tell she mind links Malden her doctor helper. She grabs a kit off the self. She pulls out a bandage holding it against Jakes wounds.

Malden enters. "I need you to leave Beta Blake." I shake my head and leave. I find my daughter Jamie on the couch crying. I sit down beside her and wrap my arms around her. "What's wrong..?!" She cuts me off. "Is Jake going to be ok daddy, please daddy tell me he's going to be ok?" She cries into my shirt.

I pet her head. I never do well around crying women. Jamie never cries thankfully until now. How I wish her mother was here. "He'll be fine doll." I smooth her hair down. "He has to be daddy, I love him." She whimpers into my shirt.

My muscles tense. She what?! She loves him. I never told her Jake found his mate. "Jamie." I lift her chin so she'll look me in my eyes. I huff. "Jake found his mate." I whisper.

She jumps up and balls her fist. "He what, he found his mate?!" She stomps her feet. "You're acting like a child, Jamie!" I ball my hands into a fist. She pouts. "You never told me, you are always hiding things from me!" She yells. Her eyes change color her wolf trying to take over. "Because you act like a child, Jamie and you're my daughter!" She huffs.

"Then where is she?" She crosses her arms. "What?" I stand up trying to clam my wolf. Only my daughter could make my wolf this mad. She's my child, my world. I only want to protect her and she doesn't understand that. "The Luna, Jakes mate?" She smiles. Thinking that I'm making this up to stop her from dating.

"His father took her and marked her." Her eyes widen. "What!" She yells. I roll my eyes this child I swear. Malden mind links me to go see Jake. I start to walk away when Jamie grabs me.

"So does that mean I have a chance to be his second chance mate?" She smiles wickedly. Who is this evil women that posses my daughter. My wolf growls. "What kind of relationship did you and Jake have?" She kisses my cheek. "Nothing daddy." She whispers sweetly. I try to grab her. But she starts to run away. "Jakes awake, he just mind linked me!" She yells. He mind linked my daughter?! I growl my wolf taking over. What's been going on that I don't know about?
