Anne's POV

"Anne?"
Knock, knock.
"Anne?"
Knock, knock

I wake up in bed alone. My pink covers pulled up to my neck. "Anne you need to get up." I lean up groaning. I've never been a morning person.

"Yes mother!"

I throw the covers off me, jumping from my bed and throwing the door open. My mother squeals as I surprise her. I throw my arms around her. She gently wraps her arms around me. "That was easier than I thought." She mumbles into my hair.

I pull away and stare into her face appreciating the sharp edges of her face and defined jaw line. She smiles a beautiful smiles with a few crooked teeth. But that's what makes her, her and that's beautiful. You don't need to be perfect to be beautiful. You only have to be yourself.

"Go on now grandmothers waiting for you." I nob my head and kiss her cheek. "Alright mommy. I love you." She pats me on the shoulder. "I love you too."

I run down the stairs the wood groaning underneath my feet. I make my way to the kitchen where grandmother is usually is knitting. But when I open the door I see a man instead in her chair.

"Aren't you just beautiful, Anne!" His blue eyes boar into mine. While his blond hair shields a small scar on his face and all I can think is he's handsome. "Thank You." I reply nervously looking to the ground.

I hear his chair scoot back. Then he's standing in front of me. He places his hand under my chin making me look him in the eye. "Why the council didn't want you I don't know?" I scrunch my nose in confusion. I look at his black suit nicely pressed and tight on his musclier body. Then I see a small crest stitched to the shoulder of his suit. A moon wrapped around a wolf with red eyes. I reach out and touch it. He smiles.

"What is this?" I question my childest wonder getting to me. He leans close to my face his hot breath kissing my face. "The crest of the council. If only you weren't so young." He plays with my black hair twisting it through his fingers and I feel a strange attraction to him. He hungrily smiles at me and steps back.

I hear the kitchen door open. "Alex." I turn to the voice. Grandmother stares angrily at him. She balls her hands into tight fist. "She is mine." I shake my head. He places his hand on my shoulder. "She has a mate." Grandmother bitterly replies.

He shrugs his shoulders. "Alex haven't you done enough to my family." He grins wickedly. Then he pulls me to him. "Not yet. Celestial was easy. Is this one?" Grandmother yanks me away from him.

"She is a child!" She pushes me behind her. "She won't be forever." Grandmother trembles. "I never got a child. Celestial didn't won't any. So I killed her." He smiles and locks eyes with me. "When you grow up do you want children Anne?" He steps forward. He sticks his hand out for me to come to him. "No!" Grandmother bellows.

I walk around her. She reaches out and grabs me. She pulls me into her chest locking her arms around me. But I shake my head. He frowns and glares at me.

"But Anne?" I look into his stricken face. "Alex leave!" He shakes with rage his emotions changing in a flash. "I will get a child from this blood line!"

"You will never. I won't let you!" He slams his hand onto the table beside him. "I curse you all!" He looks into my eyes again and his eyes turn a deep red. He laughs evilly. "May the White Witch make you all pay!" Then he storms out of the room.
