I wasn't used to sitting in bed for so long and I also wasn't used to looking out the window and seeing the Eifel tower in all its glory. With everything that had been happening I had hardly processed the fact that we were really in Paris for the boys European shows. I mean we had been here for two weeks now and still it hadn't hit me.
Until today.
Sitting in bed all day, staring out the window, made it feel more real. For hours on end I would just gaze at it, closing my eyes every now and then and then opening them, expecting it to be gone. But it never was and every time I felt relieved but also a little disappointed.
Colton, Parker and Hudson had been gone all day and with every moment that past I was becoming more fidgety. I had finally gotten up hours ago, a little steadier on my feet, but still a little woozy, I fully intended to go eat something, only Asher was in the living room and I really didn't feel like talking to him.
I also thought the boys probably wouldn't appreciate me killing their band mate.
Quietly getting back into bed after deciding not leave my room, I turned on the TV to find the boys I wanted to talk to so bad, staring back at me. Yelping in surprise, Asher came running in to check on me.
'What is it?' he asked frantically.
'Nothing I'm fine' I said not taking my eyes off the TV.
'Whatever' he said to my offhandedness.
Leaving me by myself again I glanced up at the television to see the camera zoomed in on a smiling Colton. I couldn't help but smile back.
'So boys where is that lovely fourth band member of yours?' the interviewer asked in her thick French accent 'and Colton, where is your beautiful girlfriend?'
'Oh Ashy and Avie are back at the apartment' Parker said.
'Yeah Avery wasn't feeling too well and Asher offered to stay behind to look after her' Hudson said.
'Oh how nice of him!' she cooed 'You all seem to be rather fond of Colton's girlfriend'
'Rather fond would be an understatement' Colton laughed 'I hardly ever get her to myself anymore' he finished with a wink.
'Sharing is caring Col' Parker declared.
'Yes, we are all rather fond of her, she is like the fifth member of our band, except ... without the .. being in ... the band ... part' Hudson said, confusing himself. How these boys made me giggle.
'She's more than that Hudson!' Parker exclaimed 'She's really like an extra limb these days, it feels weird when we're not with her'
'I guess being fond of her is rather un understatement' the interviewer laughed 'What about you Colton how fond are you of your girlfriend?' she asked. To my surprise he blushed, like genuinely blushed.
'Avery is ... Avery is Avery. She is everything all at once, this absolute hurricane of a person, so caring and opinionated and stubborn and just real and ... ahhh just no words can describe her and how I feel about her'
'Maybe there is one word' Parker joked, nudging him the side.
'Yeah one word; starts with a big, fat L' said Hudson.
'Do you love her Colton?' the interviewer asked, cutting to the chase.
My heart stopped beating for what felt like an eternity. My breath hitched in my throat. Why was I so scared yet excited to hear what he had to say. He would only be acting if he said it, said that four letter word.
