Chapter Six - One Big Happy Family

‘So we’re here with four boys you may know’ the presenter said sarcastically ‘they’ve sold millions of albums all around the world and have just begun their yearlong world tour, its “CHRONIC!”’ she said yelling the band’s name. They boys ran on smiling and waving, being adorable as ever.

‘Well Colton, Parker, Asher and Hudson’ she said gesturing to each boy ‘how are you liking the UK?’ she asked.

‘Oh we love it!’ said Colton, giving the crowd a smile, causing several girls to let out a squeal.

‘Yeah, this is our second time and it’s just as amazing as the first time we were here, there is just so much to see’ said Hudson grinning.

‘That’s good!’ said the interviewer ‘And the concert tonight, are you looking forward to that?’ she asked, moving on swiftly.

‘Oh yeah, totally, we love touring and performing, it’s such a high and it’s awesome to be travelling with your best friends’ said Parker, bouncing up and down in his seat.       

‘I can imagine’ she said laughing ‘but I hear your not only touring with these three boys here ‘he said gesturing to the others ‘I hear that there may be a certain girlfriend on tour with you guys’

This statement caused Colton to blush a little. BLUSH! I didn’t know if it was a real blush or just some kind of show, but none the less, it was cute and I vowed to myself to make him do it a lot more.   

‘Ah yes’ he said turning his head to look at me off stage.

‘Well bring her out here’ said the interviewer ‘Do you want to meet Colton’s girlfriend?’ she asked the audience. A chorus of yeses rang out from the small audience causing Colton to get up and usher me on. Walking on stage, I could hear the pounding of my heart in my ears, I was so nervous!

‘You’re going to be great!’ whispered Colton in my ear; giving me a reassuring smile ‘This is Avery Daniels...’ he said introducing me and taking my hand ‘.... My girlfriend’

To my surprise the entire audience erupted into a round of applause.

‘Well I think it’s safe to say that the fans approve!’ said the presenter laughing ‘But what about the rest of the band? Do you guys love Avery as much as the audience seem to?’

‘Oh more! Much more! She’s one of my bestest friends!’ said Parker winking at me.

‘Yeah mine too, I love her like a sister, we’re all extremely close’ said Hudson smiling down at me, ruffling my hair. Pushing him away, I stuck my tongue out at him, causing the whole audience to erupt into laughter.    

‘Well you guys look like one big happy family!’ she said grinning ‘But what about you Asher? You’ve hardly said a word! How do you feel about Avery?’ she asked. All of a sudden I was nervous. It was because I all of a sudden realised I had no idea how Asher felt about me and here he was about to declare his feelings towards me on live national television. He paused for a moment looking at me. Smiling weakly at him, I mentally tried to persuade him not to announce his hate for me. I mean he must hate me! He was always avoiding me and forever cold towards me. There was simply no other explanation for it.

‘Having her on tour ...’ he started ‘... has been different’ he said ‘but like the guys said, she’s very dear to us and we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way’

Letting out a breath I didn’t know I was holding, I subconsciously grinned up at him only to have him return a patronising smirk. 

‘Okay, so we also have the bands approval, so we can now have all the details’ she quipped excitedly ‘Alright Avery, how did you guys get toegther?’ Crap. We hadn’t gone over this one. Looking up at Colton with anxious eyes, I could see he was also looking uneasy.
