You Get Caught... (Mini-series) [Loki]

You were at work at the small coffee shop not far from the Avengers tower. This was the fateful place were you had met your boyfriend, Loki. Being the closest coffee shop to the tower meant all of the Avengers and their friends came here to get their daily caffeine fix. Loki had visited with Thor once or twice and you had both hit it off. Now, several months later, you were still working at the shop whilst your boyfriend was constantly jumping between Asgard, Jotunheim, and Midgard. He had a lot of responsibilities, including helping out the Avengers every now and then to pay back for almost destroying the city.

Your boss had left only an hour ago for a meeting about renovations, so when he walked back in to the quiet coffee shop you were a little surprised.
"That was quick. How did the meeting go?" You ask as he walks behind the counter and into the store room.
"Nothing's final yet, but we'll sort it." He didn't seem too happy, maybe it didn't go well after all.

He disappears through the store room and into his office, leaving you to get back to work.
A few minutes later you could hear him calling to you and you head to his office.
When you enter the small modern room, you noticed your boss leaning against his desk.
"You're such a good employee, (y/n)." He smiles.
As he speaks he stands up straighter, striding closer to you. He stops only inches away from you. An unusual silence falls over you both and he lifts a hand to push a piece of your hair behind your ear.
You freeze at the contact and begin to worry that your boss was coming on to you. You try to brush it off and assume it was only a friendly gesture. However, that theory is proven wrong when he leans in to kiss you. You suddenly think of Loki and what he would do to your boss if he knew what was happening. 

You take a step back.
"I- I'm sorry, but I have a boyfriend." You stutter out, hoping he wouldn't fire you.
Not wanting to stay in the room with him much longer you turn to leave. However, you are stopped by a hand on your wrist.
You begin to panic until you hear a familiar chuckling. You turn back to your boss only to be met with Raven hair and emerald eyes.
"Do not fret my dear, it is only me." He smirks.
"Loki!" You shout in annoyance, smacking his shoulder. "Don't do that to me!" Although you are frustrated by his silly games, a wave of relief washes over you.

"I have missed you, my love." He purrs, placing light kisses over your cheeks and nose.
Before you can express your own feelings of his absence in your life, he lifts you onto the desk, kissing you with such passion. You're so caught up the moment, as you wrap your legs around his waist and your hands into his hair, that you don't hear your real boss entering the shop. The office door begins to open and you jump back from Loki in shock.
'I. Am. So. Fired.' You think to yourself.

Your boss walks into the office.
"I'm so -" you begin your apologies but are cut short when one of Loki's eloquently long fingers plants firmly over your lips.
Your boss glances around the room and heads behind his desk.
You are still sat on his desk and watch him with confusion. Why hasn't he started shouting at you? Why hasn't he fired you? Why hasn't he even looked at you?

He opens a draw in his desk, retrieving a file and then turning to leave.
As he made his exit you look to Loki pleading for him to explain.
"My powers." He states before kissing you again.
However, this does not satisfy you and you push him away.
"What do you mean?" You frown.
"An illusion. I simply tricked him into seeing his office as it should be. I also allowed him to see you working hard as usual out front.  He won't suspect a thing." Loki flashes you his charming grin.
"I should really get back to work." You mumble, attempting to stand up from the desk.
"No need, your boss has left once more and there will be no customers. Trust me."

It was hard not to trust him when his eyes were so pleading - even though he still looked smug. As you stalled for a few seconds, he took the opportunity to begin kissing your neck, knowing all to well you wouldn't be going anywhere for quite a while.
