"You foiled my plan and I'm not happy about that," Someone said by the doorway.
I panicked.
"Who are you and what do you mean by your 'plan'?"
"You don't need to know that right now, but when the time comes, you'll learn who I am."
What is he talking about? Does he mean the whole scheme that happened at the Ishida Estate?
I felt that familiar stirring deep inside of me again, but I ignored it once again. Someone else walked in, and I jumped.
"It's just me Hana, are you okay?"
Oh, it's just Obito.
"Yeah, I'm okay," I said. "And what did you need to talk about?"
I really wanted to know what he wanted to tell me.
He started fidgeting and then his cheeks dusted pink again.
"Come on, Obito, tell me!"
He shook his head.
"Please,"
"It's nothing," he looked away, his cheeks dusting pink again.
I gave up.
"Okay, well, can you at least check on Mariko for me?"
"Yeah, I can do that," Obito said and left the room to go see how she's doing.
Minato and Kushina walked in after he left.
"I'm sorry Uncle Minato, but I knew she was in danger and I couldn't stand seeing her look so fragile and when he told me that they were being targeted, I just felt this need to protect her," I apologized.
"We both think of you as our own daughter now. Do you realize how worried sick you had us? I thought Nozomi may have gotten to you or something," He lectured me.
I looked down.
"Yes, I know. I'm sorry,"
"Just don't run off like that again without telling us. I lost Yukiko and I don't want to lose you either, you know," Kushina said and hugged me.
I teared up when I realized that this was the parental love I longed for. My parents were gone, forever and I thought I'd never get to feel it ever again.
"I'm sorry for lecturing you so much Hana, but I just don't want to see you get hurt. I care about you like my own daughter," Minato said and joined on the hug.
Once they pulled away, I quickly wiped my eye.
"Dust," I said. "It's dusty in here,"
Minato just laughed.
"Once you're out, I have a new jutsu to show you before you train with Master Jiraiya,"
"What? Really?! I can't wait!" I beamed.
Kushina smiled at how excited I was getting.
"Yes, really. I promise I'll teach it to you once you're out of here," Minato smiled too.
They had to go back home and I could faintly hear their conversation as they left.
"I think she's the one," I heard Minato.
What?
"I think so too, she has the potential." Kushina answered him.
"She does. I think Hana is the Child of Prophecy that Jiraiya told me about." Minato's voice faded and now I was just confused.
