I listened to her.
"When I was abandoned by my mother, someone took me in," She started. "This person is my idol and I look up to them. They told me the truth about our parents too. Akio and my father used to be best friends when they were children,"
I had a hard time believing that our parents were best friends.
"They always had each other's backs and one day, the Eight-Tails attacked the Cloud Village. After that happened, my father and Akio both went to get help. Akio wanted the power for himself after witnessing it and cut a piece of the tentacle off," Nozomi continued.
"Woah, wait," I said. "You're from the Cloud Village too?"
"Yes, I am," Nozomi said. "And when my father caught up with Akio, he was already sealing the piece of the tailed beast he caught. That's when yours became corrupt and power hungry. My father wanted to give that back to the Raikage, but instead, they fought over it. They spilled each other's blood because Akio refused to give up the scroll,"
Was my father really like this? I don't understand...
"You're lying!" I shouted, starting to get mad.
"I'm not," Nozomi retorted. "Akio took drastic measures and sealed it inside of you. Years later, my father had to take him down because of what he was planning to do with it. He was going to attack the Cloud Village so he could take control over it and that's when our parents died,"
I widened my eyes in shock. I have the Eight-Tails chakra inside of me? Was my father that twisted? What the hell is going on here?
"I...I have the Eight-Tails in me?" I ask with shock.
"Sort of," Nozomi said. "It's just a piece of its chakra, so you aren't a jinchuriki. You have the piece that wants to kill and spill blood,"
I was too shocked to reply.
"Now you see why I want revenge against you," Nozomi said. "Because your twisted father killed mine and I'm going to avenge him,"
"I don't believe you!" I shouted. "Dad was never like that!"
I started to snap.
"Believe what you want, but that doesn't change reality. You can't possibly believe what my brother has to tell you,"
I got out of her spikes and formed a rasengan. I felt rage starting to take over again and I hit her. The force of my rasengan made her fall back into the ground and she looked like she was caught off guard with how angry I was started to get.
"Dad never killed Shinji," I growled. "I watched my own mother get stabbed by him and I watched her die in front me. My dad used a self-destructing jutsu to kill everyone in the house, so whoever gave you that information lied to you,"
"Don't you know how our brains work?" Nozomi asked. "They can create false memories and that's exactly what happened to you,"
I picked her up by the neck with my newfound strength that I had felt when I went on that mission with Kushina and I got in her face.
"I'm not going to listen to you insulting my father. He wasn't like that and he would never do something so evil like that!" I shouted, squeezing tighter around her neck. "And that false memory thing isn't always true. If a child sees his parents being killed right in front of him, he's going to remember that for his life,"
She struggled in my grip, choking for air. She pulled out a poison-laced kunai from her pouch and attempted to stab me with it, but I grabbed her wrist with my other hand and made her drop it.
