Tobie's POV
2 years have past since that day.
I was now 18 living with Demi in a small apartment in the city. I was going to start collage for nursing this fall.
It was a Friday evening. I was on Facebook as she set right next to me. I was on my laptop and her on her phone talking to John.
"Do you still think about Mr. Dawns?" She asked.
I looked over at her,
"Why would I."
"He was your first love and all."
"Now I have Hayden." I said looking back onto the computer screen.
Hayden has been my boyfriend for 5
months.
Silence broke between us until she said:
"Do you think he has a Facebook?"
"I wouldn't doubt it."
She sat up.
"Type his name in Tobie!"
I sighed and typed in 'Matt Dawns'
5 searches popped up.
She clicked on the 3rd photo down.
"Oh my god." We both said.
"It's him..." I said. I clicked add as friend quickly hoping he would add me back. I wasn't sure why I needed too add him.
"Are you going to talk to him?" She asked.
"Should I?"
"Yes! Just forget about Hayden. You need to talk to Matt!"
I smiled a little and looked over.
My eyes widened.
"He just added me back."
"Talk to him!"
I clicked onto the chat box to start typing but before I could hit a letter he said hello.
I was kinda shocked. I didn't believe he messaged me. I responded with a friendly greeting.
Matt: how have you been?
Me: fine. You?
Matt: stressed.
Me: new job stressful?
Matt: my kid is.
I read that wrong. I tried to convince myself it was wrong but, it wasn't wrong. It was right.
I started to look through his photos to see him and his kid. I started to click through them so fast I wasn't sure who they were anymore. Soon, a 3rd person came into picture. I started to slow down now. I stopped at a photo and starred.
"Holy fuck." I said in disbelief.
"What?" She said turning to me.
"He married Mrs. Hue." I continued.
"WHAT?!" She said leaning over.
"Good God!" She said terrified.
Me: married Hue huh?
Matt: yeah, I did.
Me: her kid?
Matt: yes. That wild night got her pregnant.
Me: I'm glad. I guess.
Matt: her names May.
Me: cute.
Matt: May Tobie Dawns.
"His daughters middle name is yours! How cute!" She smiled at me.
Me: that's sweet of you. :)
Matt: perhaps you would like to meet her? Could you drop by tomorrow?
Me: well...
Matt: please, Tobie...?
Me: fine. Well, I have to go. See you later.
I logged off and shut my computer down.
She stared at me the whole time. I looked over and sighed.
" I love him."
"I know you do. Just see what happens tomorrow. I'll drop you off in the morning." She said standing up.
