Mr. Dawns and I walked to his class.
I didn't know anyone in there, I thought maybe Demi would be in here but, I had my doubts.
So I just sat at an empty table.
"I got some new people in this class!" He chuckled and smiled
No one laughed.
His smile faded.
"So, In this class today we are just going to talk about what we are going to be learning this year."
I looked around the room.
And spotted Darbie.
'Yay' I mumbled. I slumped down in my seat.
"Knock knock." A lady said entering the room.
"Ah, mrs. Amber. Come in." Mr. Dawns said.
"Anyone need their classes changed?"
"Yes. Darbie, Lin. Tobie and Sierra." He said pointing around the room.
"Also, If you want, you can take AP Environmental Science." He added.
The lady went to Darbie first.
He started talking about the mongolians and how we were going to learn about them.
He walked to the board and scribbled down the different lessons.
"What does that say?" A boy asked.
He came over by the kid to answer his question. He was clear a crossed from me.
The lady walked over to me next.
"So you just want this class?" She asked.
Again, I didn't know what to say.
"I uh... Um... Mmm... Uh..."
"Tobie, don't be passive." Me and the lady looked up simultaneously.
"She wants the other AP class." Mr. Dawns continued.
I looked at the lady, she smiled, wrote it down, and continued on.
I looked back at Mr. Dawns, he had a big grin on his face, then turned back to the boy.
I stared at him speechless.
Why did he want me to take these classes so bad? I had that question playing in my head over and over again.
After the lady got done talking to people she came over to me to give me my new schedule. AP Science was after this. It was 10 minutes away.
I've always been in the lowest
Classes. I couldn't believe I was now in the highest classes. College level!
The bell rang. I packed up my stuff. Everyone rushed out the door so, I was the last one to leave. When i threw my bag over my shoulder, Mr. Dawns came over.
"Is this to much pressure Tobie?" He asked worriedly.
"You think I'm stupid?"
"No, no, no!" He gasped.
"I just think two college classes could be overwhelming." He continued.
"Why did you want me in this class and AP Science?" I questioned.
"You're so bright, I'd hate you to be average all your life." He said with a big sweet smile."
I blushed a little.
"I got to go." I said, swallowing my smiling blush.
He watched me as I walked out the door quickly.
I walked to AP Science. I saw Demi in there.
I sat by her.
"You're in this class?" I asked her.
"Yeah. I'm failing though."
"Why are you in here?"
"I got put here. I hate this class." She moaned.
"What's your name?" The teacher said walking to me.
"Tobie."
"Tobie?" He said with deep thought.
"I've herd teachers talking about you." He added.
"I know. Teachers hate me." I said annoyed.
"We'll see, Tobie." He laughed walking away.
I looked over at Demi. Her head was down once again.
