Chapter 3:

Riley's POV:

Although that mysterious jai guy creeps me out and makes me very uncomfortable, he also intrigues me in a very weird way. The way he doesnt talk confuses me. The way he smirks at me makes me interested in the way his brain works. He seems like a book, but hes very hard to read. My journey home flew by as my thoughts were clouded by jai. His name suits his dark and hidden figure. I feel like his name represents his shy yet powerful personality. I dont know why but lately my thoughts have just been took over by his intriguing actions and if im honest, i want to know more. 

I once again reached my door step and just as i went to open the door, i noticed the door directly opposite mine had opened and out came the one and only jai. I kept my stare fixed on him as his eyes looked me up and down. His smirk still never shifting off his face. I decided to be the one to start conversation and try to atleast find out about him. "hi" I started awkwardly. His gaze that stared at me intently showed me he was listening. I immedately noticed he was wearing the shoes that he bought back at the store. " i see your wearing your new shoes, they look good on you" i nervously said wanting to build a conversation. He chuckled. "you never told me your name..." He said for the first time. I stared at him with shock. Hearing his husky, deep voice seemed to make me more intrigued and for some bizarre reason, also attracted to him. " Uh its, R-Riley" I stuttered. My nervousness seemed to make him chuckle and from that he replied " pretty name for a pretty girl huh". I felt a blush spread upon my cheeks. I chuckled nervously muttering a small "thankyou" in the process. He chuckled again. "well i gotta go but ill see you around, Riley". The way he said my name with that weird yet beautiful smirk sent chills down my spine. His heavy footsteps decreased as he walked further and further away. Sighing, i headed into my apartment to be welcomed by the usual silence that filled the rooms. With jai still on my mind, i removed my work clothing and changed into my night wear. Being the tired person i am, i got into bed feeling like i am about to fall into a land of dreams when really all that was on my mind was him. I tossed and turned all throughout the night with questions drowning my mind wanting to find out more. I then knew from there that i wanted to discover more about this boy, i wanted to be able to read him but i cant do that without exploring him first.
