What happened? I can still feel Abby's hand in mine so I know she is near. I can't see anything. I'm breathing though, so we must have stayed afloat somehow. My eyes begin to adjust and I can make out Abby's golden curls and her face which is still unconscious. Something is off though. Is she floating in air? But that would mean I am too since we are eye level with each other.

I look down but instead of seeing my legs, I see red. I almost faint again. Am I bleeding? Where? Nothing hurts! I look down again only to see more red. It isn't mixing with the water though, and what are those? Gold specks? My thoughts are interrupted by a fish that swims in front of my face. In front of my face!? How is that possible? I would have to be underwater... I glance up and see bubbles from the waterfall hitting the water above me. I look over at Abby as I realize that we are not above water anymore. She is stirring and I see she is breathing as well. I let go of her hand and float backward to see her body. Her face and hair are still beautiful as ever and her slim waist has no cuts or bruises on it. Then I see it. Starting a few inches below her belly button is a bright blue tail with white specks randomly dispersed throughout it. It's beautiful and slender just like her.

"Rose."

I look back up at her face and see she is staring at my legs. I look down and see the red again, only this time I lift my legs and the redness gets closer to my face. It's a tail. It starts at the same place of Abby's but is red like blood with gold sprinkled over it making it look like it is blinking with lights.

"What the hell?" I whisper as I reach my hand out to touch it.

"It's beautiful," Abby says still staring.

"Have you seen yours?" I ask looking up at her smirking.

I laugh as she looks down and jumps backwards.

"Where did that come from?!" She chuckles as she admires it. "How did this happen?"

"I'm not sure, but this just got interesting!" I reply still stroking my tail. It is smooth and more muscular than Abby's giving me more curve around where my thighs should be.

"Well lets see if we can find out!"

"Wait, you don't want to turn around anymore?" I pondered, teasing her by making a scared face and screaming at a passing fish.

"Shut up, Rose," remarked Abby going back to admiring her new tail.
