Hello, again! nicevibe here, for the second time over. ((We're still hiring btw ;-;))
Anyway, I have a couple of beautiful stories to talk to you about that I've come across here on Wattpad. Now, I don't usually read many stories, let alone Tokyo Ghoul stories, but on a day of absolute boredom, I've come across these two gems. Yes, I realize this isn't the Undiscovered Gems portion of the magazine. IT'S MY MAGAZINE OK, YEESH.
Jk.

1 - Nagachika Hideyoshi: Glow by Sueszi
I had spent my time searching for ways to save, or merely help my best friend Kaneki from whatever terror he could be faced with.
He was somewhere in the eleventh ward - lost within himself amongst the ghouls of Tokyo, and here I was...drowning in the navy of my loneliness, trying my best to be of use to him.
But then, this girl appears out of no where and interferes with my plans and...well, now what?
To me, "love" was just a word when Kaneki left.
But she...she brought back its definition.
Who knows? ...Maybe she would care enough to help.
To tell you my story, I have to tell you theirs, too.
This is my journal. And I'm sorry if the mention of their names crowds most of the pages.

Not only is Glow written by the lovely @Sueszi ((who's also a part of the magazine crew!!)), but it's the one Tokyo Ghoul story I've read that doesn't make me want to commit cannibalism. As I'm sure you can tell, the story is centered around our dear Hide ((HE'S NOT DEAD, HE'S JUST IN HIDING OK, THAT'S WHY HIS NAME IS HIDE, THIS IS ALL PREMEDITATED, I'M POSITIVE OF IT)) and a young fillette ('girl' in French) named Mirelle, with a natural high that even rivals mine when I smo-- you know what, let's stay on topic for once, haha...
They meet at this awesome music festival when Miri steals Hide's fancy headphones, and Hide goes from 0-100 real quick with this girl, like, there's no hiding that he fancies the girl, calling her cutie and blushing whenever she smiles. It wasn't even halfway through the first chapter before I started squealing like a baby pig with this story, it's got me hooked.
Not only is her face attractive, but her voice (I would imagine lmao) and the way Sueszi weaves her French in to her dialogue.
I really, seriously, ADAMANTLY INSIST THAT YOU READ THIS. Unless you want good ol' nicevibe to go into diabetic shock again. 'cuz I don't.

2 - Eat Your Heart (Reader X Kaneki Ken) by
Love would entrap you in his web of lies.
His charm, his innocence, his deception.
His tongue would lick your neck gently, as if a sign of affection but it was only an affirmation of his tastes to him.
He, was going to eat your heart, piece by piece, slice by slice, until there was nothing left for him to devour.

I'll admit, at first, it wasn't my kind of story. I think I still have about half of it left to read, but so far, I'm impressed. In this story, my beloved Kaneki-kun is a tsundere/yandere little bitch (sorry, I can't keep up with that 'dere' shit) who gets involved with reader-chan on a pretty intimate level. It starts off with Kaneki asking to sit with reader-chan, and not even two paragraphs later, he kisses her. From there, not only does Kaneki tend to disappear off the face of the earth every now and again, and I'd assume it's with Tsukiyama, as he also makes a cameo in the first chapter.
But, as it turns out (and I'm not trying to spoil this for you guys, I swear), reader-chan is affiliated with other Ghouls excluding Kaneki, namely Tatara, and is, I believe, from a Ghoul family? Oh, and her father's a massive shuttlecock, so yeah.
I actually really like this story so far. I'm not so into the 'dere' reader inserts, because I think the whole 'dere' categorizing system is about as lame as Shintaro Midorima, but this surprised me. I think you guys will really like it.
