High School love: A rarijack fanfic

The dance (Pt 2)

Applejack's POV

Applejack was confused, either this was a mistake and rainbowdash wanted twilight. Or this was just...

'No no no, rarity. You love rarity.' She thought to herself.

"You gonna stand there all night country girl?" Rainbowdash asked, but not in her tough tone. More in a soft, gentle tone.

Applejack walked up to her, eyebrow raised. "What're you doing?"

"Well...this is for you." She handed her the orange rose. Rainbowdash blushed a bit, "listen...I know you came with rarity. But, I kinda always had a cru-"

Applejack interrupted her, "whoa...I'm sorry rainbow. I have my mind on someone else."

At that, rainbowdash got angry. She turned around her fists clenched. Rainbowdash controlled herself and walked away. Applejack watched as she did, she noticed little tear drops rolling down on her cheeks. Applejack felt horrible. She knew how it felt to be heartbroken.

"I'm sorry!" She called, but it was too late. Rainbowdash was gone, probably gone back inside. She looked at the rose, it was beautiful. But, she couldn't keep it...she had to give it back to rainbowdash. She quickly walked back in the gymnasium and looked around everywhere for rainbowdash. She then 'wow' bumped into rarity.

Rarity smiled at her then looked down at the rose in her hand. "Who's that for?"

Applejack could NOT tell a lie, it would make her feel ten times worse. She hesitated, but then came clean. "Rainbowdash gave it to me."

Rarity looked shocked then furious, "oh! So you leave me here, so you could go off with some other girl?! Wow applejack! Just wow!" She turned and stomped away.

Applejack facepalmed, lies are never good. But sometimes, lying hurts less than the truth. Pinkie yet again popped out of nowhere, but she had fluttershy next to her. "Hey applejack? What happened?"

Applejack didn't say anything, she just gave a hefty sigh. Pinkie nodded, "mhm I see. I'll go get rarity for you!"
Applejack was about to protest, but when she looked up fluttershy stopped her.

"Pinkie, I think they need some alone time." She said softly.

"Why? They won't make up if they ignore each other!" Pinkie argued.

Fluttershy gave her a 'really?' look. Pinkie sighed and crossed her arms. "Okay okay...I won't go get her."

Applejack looked at the two, completely opposite people. But here they are, going to a dance together.
She then shook her head, no time to get into thoughts.

"Do you know where rainbowdash went?" Applejack asked.

Fluttershy nodded, "I saw her go in the bathroom..."

"With rarity!" Pinkie added.

Rarity's POV

Rarity didn't know how to feel, angry, sad, jealous maybe? She didn't know or care at the moment. All she wanted to do was go home, but instead she found herself in the bathroom, looking at her own reflection. She sighed. Rainbowdash did have a lot more in common with Applejack, it'd make sense if they started dating. She kept on thinking of applejack, she didn't want to...but she found herself doing so. She then jumped as she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked back hopeful that it was Applejack. It was rainbowdash, and she did NOT seem happy.
