Applejack's POV

Applejack looked down at the girl, she was a few inches taller. "I can't believe you're scared of lighting and thunderstorms." She mused as her emerald eyes followed rarity.

Rarity huffed, she kept facing forward not even sparing applejack a glance. "I'm surprised you can speak fluent English."

"Country people don't have different languages." Applejack retorted, man this girl could anger her easily. But, she somehow liked it. Well, now that she was talking to her.

Rarity's POV

The rain droplets slipped off from the umbrella and fell to the cold wet pavement. The side walk was at both side of the road that was somewhat busy with cars, at both sides were many shops and restaurants. The neighborhoods weren't that far away either. She sighed, the rain didn't seem to be letting up. In fact, it just poured harder.

And as for the thunder and lightning, it had stopped but would momentarily come back. Which gave her an excuse to jump into applejack's arms, though, she'd smack the girl after. At that she looked over at applejack and noticed something, her shoulder was halfway out, so she was getting wet. But, it gave rarity more space.

Rarity felt her cheeks heat up, applejack did this so she wouldn't get wet. She put a hand to her mouth to contain her scream of happiness. That's when applejack looked over at her, raising an eyebrow. "You okay sugarcube?" She asked softly.

Rarity swiftly grabbed her arm and pulled her body closer to applejack's. She noticed applejack flush red, she hid a smile as she spoke. "Idiot. You'll get a cold."

Applejack's emerald eyes just focused on the floor, her blush seemed to redden. Though, rarity couldn't quite tell as it was getting dark. "I know you hate getting your hair wet, so yeah...but anyways, why are you scared of storms?"

Rarity didn't know why but it made her heart flutter as she knew applejack cared of her. But, it also angered her for some reason. She smacked the back of her head, "idiot! You can't just ask me that!"

Applejack blushed lightly, rubbing her head. "Okay! okay! I'm sorry, calm down." She said quickly and looked forward once more.

She let out a sigh, the reason she was scared of storms, was because she'd always be home alone. Even when she was extremely young, her parents would always be out on business trips. So when there were loud storms, she'd have to go through those by herself. She'd cry and cry, because she'd never had. Lighting striked and she moved into applejack's warm arms. Someone there.
