Applejack's POV
Everything was normal. Rarity and Dash recovered. She couldn't count how many times Dash asked rarity and her for forgiveness. Even though Applejack did forgive her, she did have a problem with forgetting.
Applejack laid in her bed, staring at the ceiling. What passed her mind next wasn't surprising at all. She thought of rarity and how fun the past weeks have been. Well, she was worried for dash and did worry more on rarity's new fear of cars. But other than that, those past weeks were great.
Flash.
"Applejack...?"
"Yeah?"
"Why do you always come? Not that I mind...but why do you?"
"Because I...I care about ya sugarcube."
Rarity's golden laugh filled the hospital room.
"Is that your way of saying 'I love you' ?""I guess it is..."
"Hm..."
Flash.
A wide goofy grin spread on Applejack's face, she was sure rarity was pushing her to confess her love. She already did, but it seemed like the two were dodging the fact...that they lov-
"Why'd you got that stupid grin on your face?" A voice asked. And one she recognized.
Applejack sat up, staring at Rainbowdash, Applebloom at her side. Dash crossed her arms and looked right to a blank wall. Although she had asked for forgiveness, Applejack now realized that they haven't talked about the whole drama that happened at the dance.
Applebloom feeling the awkwardness, carefully backed away and ran off. Leaving dash leaning on the doorframe of Applejack's door, her arms crossed, and her eyes focused on particularly nothing. She had her normal outfit on, she wore nothing fancy whatsoever.
Applejack simply stood up and opened the one drawer her nightstand had. Out she pulled an orange rose. She walked over to dash, holding it out to her.
"Love isn't easy...and I know I hurt y'all. I was just so blinded on my thoughts of you know who." She paused. "That I haven't realized you've fallen for me. I know y'all are over me now, which I'm glad. I love hanging out with you and having our little competitions...but I think it's best to say." She took dash's hand and placed the orange rose in it. "We stay friends."
No denying, dash did have a little sadness in her expression. But, a bright smile quickly changed that.
"Well whatever county girl. If we were dating I would've had to go easy on ya and we wouldn't want that now would we." She joked with a small chuckle.
Applejack chuckled, followed with a yet playful eye roll. "That don't matter! I still can beat ya no matter what!"
Rainbowdash lightly punched her arm, laughing. "Whatever, I gotta go. I promised pinkie I'd go taste her new cupcakes."
Applejack smiled, "Well! I'll see you Monday," She said as Rainbowdash began to walk off.
Dash waved, a big grin plastered on her face. "Yeah alright!" She held the rose tightly in her hand. She held it close.
Applejack laughed and rather quickly, her trust in Rainbowdash restored minimally. She knew for sure, Dash would earn it back fully in no time. But little did she know. That time wouldn't be as soon as she thought.
So maybe I didn't restart the whole thing, but over some thinking I thought it was best to continue from where it stopped. Ig we've already gotten to far to go back now! Well enough of my rambling, thank you so much for reading and I hoped you enjoyed it.
